They just need to jettison the idiotic truck (which I suspect they are losing money on each unit) and get to building the ‘low price’ car.

It’s possible Lesslie won’t mess it up, but I don’t have nearly as much faith in them as I do DeMayo to really understand the soul of the source material. You really want something about Lesslie himself to stick out that says, “This guy’s got IT” rather than “Big name Hollywood writer ATM”

Fog so thick looks like he was driving around in Silent Hill

Elon Musk has single-handedly changed the Tesla “brand” from environmentally “thoughtful” no-gas vehicles, to “Kid Rock driving around in a General Lee with the confederate flag,” and those two consumer groups do NOT mix.

You are wrong. Conspiracy is illegal, and that is speech related to committing crimes. The crime need not be imminent.

Agreed. The Constitution limits what the government can do, and with regards to the 1st amendment, that is not citizens-only, so 1st amendment protections apply to immigrants. The thing is that speech related to committing crimes is not protected by the 1st amendment, and the government wants to prosecute Assange for

None of it’s even AI. There’s useful stuff, for sure. I needed to create a dependency injector for a module on Friday and basically repeated the ask to ChatGPT until it delivered code that could be made to work, but it’s not actually “intelligent.” This is the software equivalent of when companies were making

Yeah the idea of an OS that remembers everything I’ve done sounds pretty fucking horrifying

My guess: building a team to create something new has a higher chance of failure than convening a team to work on something that’s already successful allows him a better chance of piggybacking onto success and jumpstarting his brand as a space billionaire

I remember some years ago driving around Santa Cruz, and saw a Boxter with the top down and a gun rack attached to the back of the two seats. It’s been here forever

We really just fucked with Asimov’s laws of robotics for like 6 weeks before giving up, for capitalism

I tell people that you would need to treat actual AI like a child that you’re raising, not a slave that does work. You want to raise a child to be smart, successful, and to want to make good choices. If you treat AI that way, you shouldn’t need to worry about trying to “control” it anymore than someone would “control”

And gender, for sure. This is why I was always so blown away by TERFs who write shapeshifting characters. No one is going to shapeshift into the opposite gender and then keep their original genitals. It’s all fluid.

And how did you know Wolverine was solely heterosexual? Did he tell you himself?

Easy to come in second place when the amount of electric trucks sold in March just edges out the number of beers I drank

Shit ain’t gonna get better until we have policies that get people off the street and help them find work or at least permanent housing if they can’t work.

I thought it was a great episode. Rogue’s beatdown of Bastion felt cathartic. Beast’s line, “Ah, the Greeks did love horses… and irony.” Got a good laugh out of me. The showrunners really managed to keep the stakes constantly raising.

So it came as a surprise when Musk later said Tesla “still plans to grow the Supercharger network, just at a slower pace,” and claimed that “Tesla will spend well over $500M expanding our Supercharger network to create thousands of NEW chargers this year.”

Lol yeah everyone here who wanted to buy a Tesla bought one before Musk went insane, now everyone I know who has one is constantly reminding everyone that they’re not like that

I have the previous gen iPad Pro and it is *so* close to being as laptop replacement, but the few areas where it falls short are just too important for me to give up entirely. So I’d be interested to see where it goes at WWDC, but if it’s just the same OS, then I’m happy where I’m at.
