It would certainly be easy to “convince” her to go along with his side of the story. He would have just murdered someone in cold blood, and she’d know she could catch some bullets herself. 

He’s an asshole, and most likely thought whoever dropped her off was some dude she’s been seeing. I mean, the possibilities are endless, but most of them begin with, “He’s an asshole.” 

Dorsey is sky-high on his own supply. No one can get within 500 feet of him that his entire team of assistants and bodyguards hasn’t vetted, but he thinks that moderation is bad. Like, he moderates the entire shit out of his own existence, but thinks it’s bad when others can get to do the same.

And ironically enough, his failure to actually execute the guy means the guy can testify against him. So by not killing him, he’ll go to prison, which will encourage other people to make sure they kill the person they’re pulling the gun on. 

He probably blew up her phone all night, so she knew she was in trouble, so said ‘fuck it’ and finished her night anyways. This guy doesn’t sound like a very reasonable father in general.

Also, I imagine many parents have children or family members who drive for Uber or other companies and are worried about this *exact* kind of person coming for their child.

The reason he’s going to go to jail is because he *didn’t* kill the driver, and now he has a witness to testify against him. 

Additionally, the reason people in the UK and Japan drive on the left is because they would prefer to be on their left side when jousting, since they were holding their lance with their right hand. Americans preferred driving on the right because of stage coaches, where it was easier to control a horse by pulling it…

I can get down with this take. I was in the theatre for another movie when I saw the trailer for Thor Ragnarok. I’d never seen a Marvel movie before, and I was like, “Holy shit this looks amazing!” And I went to see it and I loved it. I watched a couple of other films, like Black Panther, and I saw the Avengers…

There’s another article on this site about a dude who was sleeping in his car so he could put in more hours at Tesla and he got laid off. If that dude isn’t hardcore enough, I don’t think it’s a matter of how hard you’re willing to work, but more a matter of… does your visa require you to have a job or be kicked out…

I mean, none of this is “really” AI, but I’d guess that it’s moving towards some sort of final form that has to replace almost all phone functionality with a single wearable device. More like the Star Trek comm badge than anything else. But I don’t think we’re anywhere close to that.

I flew to South Africa in 2022, and I specifically got Emirates because I wanted a non-American airline. Unfortunately, foreign airlines I guess can’t do US destination-to-destination, so I had to fly JetBlue to New York before I could switch to Emirates. And guess where I lost my luggage? 

I’m still not really cool with how they handled Hawkeye and Thor. Hawkeye just went and became a vigilante and was out murdering boatloads of dudes. How is everyone okay with that?
