It was a shitty situation but I think Kimmel did okay by giving her a spotlight on his show to do her whole speech. It doesn’t make up for him taking her spotlight, but it was a pretty good way to try to make things right.

The problem is that anything she does with him has to assume they’re both in on the bit. If she tries to move him and he refuses because he’s “dead,” then what? He puts her in a really awkward space, and the best thing she can do is just ignore it.

She’s being diplomatic. I mean, sure, maybe she doesn’t give a shit. But she also says “Maybe tomorrow I’ll be mad. I’ll be on his show Wednesday so maybe I’ll punch him in the face.”

The entire conservative worldview depends on getting to kids BEFORE they learn to think for themselves, to mold them into one perspective, and keep them there so that they never learn to empathize with or understand others.

Looking forward to more stuff about Zelda, I didn’t get a Switch until a year or two after BotW came out and I’d already watched Let’s Plays of it, so I never wound up beating it. I’m hopeful to get the new one when it comes out so I’ll actually play it.

As a Brit living abroad, I think this is what will happen. Pretty much everybody loved the queen, even people that didn’t care for the monarchy itself.
