We were working on that here in San Francisco, until a bunch of out-of-state Republicans successfully funded a recall of our DA over a bunch of made-up stats, then the mayor appointed the woman spearheading the recall as the new DA, and of course the first thing she wants to do is return to cash bail.

Democratic leadership is so goddamn AFRAID of Republicans and it’s so infuriating. “We have to give Republicans what they want or they will… make things difficult!”

I doubt Perdue really would have done so well. He barely campaigned against Kemp. The dude just doesn’t care. He just shows up and expects to have things handed to him. 

It’s cheeky, but I’m fine with it. It may not be true liquid billions, but we need more women on the list, and especially some who actually earned their wealth instead of just had it handed to them. 

It’s wild that America is the only nation where we have these constant mass shootings, but also the only country of our type without universal healthcare.

I still hope this deal falls through. I don’t use Twitter, but Musk buying it would cause a LOT more harm than Twitter’s current situation. Especially by virtue of it being a social media platform that has enough users to be “too big to fail.”

What we need, and what voters want to see, are Democrats willing to take the fight to the right-wing. To not just try to find some way to “live with” the assaults on our bodies, our rights, our right to be here, but to actually get up there and push back and tell them to fuck off, and Newsom is showing how to do it.
