The vast majority of Americans are BEGGING for common-sense gun control solutions so of course the GOP will be turning to their “they’re coming for your guns” mantra. Since the constitution basically guarantees 25% of the country gets 50% of the government, they don’t need to do anything else

Even if assault rifles are used in a minority of mass shootings, moving the overton window on gun control is still worthwhile. The Republican response to ANY dialogue on gun control is “No!” so just getting that conversation going is going to be helpful.

As bad as Georgia is for voters right now, I do believe Walker will get stomped in the general. There’s just too many nasty things he’s been directly linked to, too much violence, too much mental instability, too many business failures, too many lies about where he graduated from and how. 

People are absolutely itching to start a race war, and they’re trying to give themselves cover to start one.

They’re doing a pretty fantastic job nullifying any impending demographics changes. It won’t matter how small a percentage of the country they are if they’re the only ones who get to vote.
