This is the state where members formed a militia to try and kidnap the governor and then got declared not guilty.

Because Merrick Garland is incapable of doing his job and looking “political” by arresting politicians who break the law.

The Supreme Court is fully a political institution that is completely unaccountable to the people of America. The only people who believe the Court ISN’T a political institution are the judges themselves and the people who stacked the court.

And then they’ll just filibuster it. And since Manchin, Sinema etc aren’t willing to mess with the filibuster, it’ll die just like it does every other time.

Who needs shame when you can have power?

Religion has no place in this debate. That’s fine if other people want to believe life has some religious importance, but I don’t. I shouldn’t have to live by other people’s religious standards. Pretty sure we’ve got a constitutional amendment about it.

Trump shone a big bright light on how many GOP voters are absolutely down with an autocracy, provided they shit on the right people, and the rest of the party has taken that to heart.

He definitely has something going on about the LGBTQ community. I saw him do a set in San Francisco about 10 years ago and he just kept going on about lesbians. Like, to the point where the crowd started to get uncomfortable. That was years before I heard any of the stuff about him going off on trans people directly,

If the GOP take the Senate, I would expect them to toss the filibuster and outlaw abortion nationwide. At this point, with all their electioneering shenanigans, gerrymandering, and outright willingness to just overturn elections, the next time they take the Senate, it will be for good.

Another “admitted he had jokingly teased an incarcerated Black youth about watermelon and chicken. The officer explained to investigators that he was trying to say, “Black people eat watermelon and chicken.”

And Chappelle IMMEDIATELY blames it on trans people.

Yeah that’s for sure. I remember hearing every election about how Black communities are targeted by mailing flyers that say “Skip the lines and vote in-person on Wednesday!” Which is always the day AFTER the election.

There is no “compromise” with abortion. The fact that OTHER people are getting them is what drives the pro-lifers up the wall. They know that people will go to states where they can get abortions, which is why the Texas and Missouri bills target people who travel out of state to get one.

Civil rights, gay marriage, interracial marriage, birth control, it’s ALL on the table right now.

That’s assuming enough people are willing to leave to disempower it.

They’ll go right back to voting for Trump when someone mentions their taxes going up or people of color moving into their neighborhood.

Hillary repeatedly refused to listen to her state campaigns in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, when they were begging her for campaign materials and to visit the state. She preferred to spend her time in NY and CA doing fundraisers and hobnobbing with celebrities.

If you want those voters to come out, you have to give them something.

Well, waving your finger certainly seems to be doing the fucking job.

Voting isn’t solely the way out of this but it is ABSOLUTELY a part of it.
