Shouldn’t Tesla Support have suggested this and helped him set it up? I don’t know anything about the system, but if this is a no-brainer of a solution then Support should know about it and be able to walk a customer through it.

I love the NAIAS and used to go every year. I was disappointed when it was cancelled the last few years because now I have kids who are old enough to go and would enjoy it, and would have taken them this year but I had no idea it was even going on until I heard Biden was coming to town.
Yeah, this was a dealbreaker for me. I’ll hold on to my XR for another year and hope they move to USB-C with the 15.
My wife has a fear that some day I’ll be able to start a collection of cars that I find interesting, which will basically be a bunch of Malibu wagons, GLH Omnis, and Matadors.
But it *can* do what it promises. From the article, “To be clear, a flop here means a vehicle that doesn’t live up to its own standards”.
Well the dealership *does* need to pay somebody to process all these new fees.
I’m in that boat now: I have a Ram with the 12” infotainment system but my lease is up and I’m probably going to drop to the smaller screen on my next one. It looked really cool at the time and isn’t completely awful, but I really prefer buttons and knobs for all the basic HVAC and comfort controls (plus it’s $1,400…
I get it, it just seems like *such* a niche market. It’s not like they even had to hit some homologation target number, like the Aerocoupes or Daytonas.
I’m always amazed at the low purchase numbers of some of these options, and they kept them around year-over-year. This gas tank had to be specially built to fit in this one vehicle, then they only sold 66 in the first year and then kept it around as an option?
Great: now I do too. Thanks, Old Man!
I never took a good look at *just* the front end of these, as the van as a whole is pretty distracting. But looking at the close-up of only the front, Pontiac really just took the top of a Bonneville front end and dropped in on the bottom of a Grand Am front end and called it a day.
They’re probably the same folks who can’t handle the current Charger having four doors.
Minivan is THE most practical vehicle, hands down. Fits people, hauls cargo, decent gas mileage, easy to load, and can be fancied up pretty nice. My wife went from a Caravan to a Wrangler and it was not an easy transition for me or the kids.
I love that all the replies are, “Well, this is different because it’s obviously all true”.
It is odd how that works. I’m guilty of it, too:
This was my thought. There are much safer, less destructive ways to get the same results.
Where where car is? They’re?
I think it needs a reverse A-Team paint scheme, as the driver will also undoubtedly look like the inverse of Face.
That was my thought. If I was paying for one of these, I wouldn’t want the one assembled by somebody from Accounting or Human Resources.
