As this is a film, rather than a comic book, would it not have made more sense to substitute a narrator or announcer of some sort for Deadpool to converse with rather than the yellow boxes? #adaptation

Uh...?

This. This is awesome. Yes.

I think they mean non-rhotic Southern accents?

"Proper English accent" is a weird concept, as all accents change. The American accent shares things in common with, say, Elizabethan English, which sounds more like Scottish highland speech.

There are bullshit surgeries done in Korea with the stated aim of helping kids speak English better.

I have a shitty habit of imitating the people I'm speaking to. I'm always afraid people are going to think I'm making fun of them, but it's hard to fight slipping into it, sometimes.

Not at all bullshit.

For years and years I wondered why Christian Bale's mouth looked so funny when he talked.

It never occurred to me that he was gay, but it could be. That whole thing with the Yutani girl a few years ago always rang false to me, but then I don't really like gossip sites.

It WAS about States' rights. States' right to make slavery legal.

"You could easily imagine a horror movie in which slavery is depicted, in all of its actual awfulness, and we see vampires in the midst of it, taking advantage of all that free blood. That might be a movie most of us wouldn't want to watch, but it would be a movie with something to say."

Very dreamy. AND charming! Did you see him with Neil Degrasse Tyson on Colbert talking about privatized space travel?

I wish they'd let that guy do a TED talk or something. His company's doing some really interesting things with robotics, too, and he's got some wonderful things to say about the future.

A) It doesn't sound like they're being designed to blend in. B) Probably not, but C) I actually really like this.

The best evidence that responsible drinking isn't harmful to your baby is all the babies born before people knew it was harmful, right?

Why is the robot soldier...out of...breath?

Psht. Call me when they make "Human Centipede: Origins."

I'm pretty sure they realized that any way they described black people was going to screw them and went with the one that seemed lazy and confused instead of any that could seem offensive.

Yep.
