Or “Save Me Dan.”

I wondered if he can’t see the tachyon cannon. He’s not dead, yet, so this likely isn’t the “tragic end” he was talking about, just the beginning of it, so it being a tachyon cannon he might not be able to foresee how it’s used or interact with it.

It’s a minor point, but Adrian Veidt is the one who first talks about “the seventh cavalry” in the comic book, so the connection isn’t unfounded. I assume they call themselves the “Kavalry” because of their connection to the Klan.

My first thought, too.

I’d love a canon reboot of Dark Forces. Maybe make Kyle Katarn one of Cassian’s contacts. Give us a mission to Scarif.

Yeah this is why I can’t get behind people using this to indict EA.

Furthermore, having actual armed police officers actually in schools hasn’t done anything to stem school shootings, but it sure has led to students of color getting arrested for things that would otherwise get them sent to the principal.

Do you not know what a black person is?

You do understand that not all women of color are black, right?

Gimme that sweet sweet religious horror exorcism ancient biblical evil demon shit.

I think the points you guys are making about this movie’s relationships to the 80's and its aesthetics are dead on, and have helped me put my finger on exactly something I’ve been trying to put my finger on about it. This film isn’t a parody of weird 80's gore movies, or a send-up, or a bunch of references to them

The clearest split is between parts 2 and 3 - the fall of House Atreides, Paul’s arrival with the Fremen and his becoming one of them, ready to lead them against the Harkonnen is the first film...and then the second movie is the resistance against the Harkonnen and the Padishah Emperor.

No way. Sean Bean for Duke Leto, Oscar Isaac or Chiwetel Ejiofor for Duncan.

Pump up the world!

I think it’s genuine concern for Stan, as well as concern for their own mission - if she’s a Russian spy, she’s on the opposite side of the internal KGB conflict now from Phillip and Elizabeth.

Ugh now I’m crying again.

MIKHAIL JUNIOR!!! WHERE ARE YOU?!

They usually operate in DC or nearby, and their excuse is more often that they need to go to the office to solve in issue, rather than that they need to meet with a client.

By “this decade later” I assume she means since the first Iron Man movie.

I don’t think there’s been a moment Stan has thought Phil and Elizabeth were normal, it’s just that, being spies, they’re very good at covering their tracks. Phil, especially, is adept at using real life things that actually are upsetting him to cover up when his mind is elsewhere or things are weird in this marriage.
