After dating someone for about 5 wks I committed to buying a bike, and then flying myself and said bike to Thailand so the two of us could bike from Bangkok to Chiang Mai together. Not with a tour group— alone, the two of us. We planned the route together and picked out where to stay, what to see, etc. We planned on

I also suspect they’re going to move out there at some point this season.

I feel like a better plot for this show would have been to have Beth take on building management for the place in Philadelphia, get to know the community and people, hear from them what needs they have that are lacking, and transition into opening her own non-profit that serves the missing needs of that

It’s a little higher than $20, but Paws Chicago has a fee of $25 for cats ages 5 and older.

Interesting idea, but I’d love to see kids driven to read contemporary books rather than classics which are often limited in their representation. There’s so many great own voices books out there these days, that can help kids learn about both their own culture/abilities and about others.

LOL. Yeah, OK, you’re paying extra for delivery and not noticing it. I lived in/across the street from the Evanston border for years and just moved from there in July. That said, being able to have JBs OR Candlelite delivered to you for an upcharge is totally worth it.

Tell me about the crust on these.  Thin?  Kinda crispy?  Is this like Chicago tavern-style pizza?

I work at a public school where national chain pizza delivery is ordered a few times a year to feed the staff and kids at parties. Frozen pizza can be cooked to tase way better than the national chains for the most part.

You’ve never paid extra for delivery?? What magical town do you live in?

When I was a kid my grandmother took care of me while my parents worked, and on special days she would buy me one of these.  That was the only time I ever had them.  She was living below the poverty level and they were a real treat back then.  I don’t dare try them now, to ruin the memory!

I’m glad I’m not the only person who thinks that. We get those pizzas pretty regularly, as pick up/delivery pizza is pretty expensive in my area.

OK I would cut off my leg to get to be an ex-pat in just about any reasonable country.  I have tried to find jobs with basically no luck.  How are you people doing it?!  I work in accounting for the record.

I was viewing the Amex everyday preferred as an option—3x grocery with 50% bonus for 30+ transactions. Now that they’ve made the initial spend bonus 50k on this new card, I would think that the new gold is the best option?

I’m seriously considering this card, particularly for the grocery benefit. Our biggest non housing expense monthly is food. Is this the best grocery option out there now? What about the everyday preferred?

I’ve been hit with this on audio and it’s definitely a problem. It happens if you try to access, say, 3 audiobooks in 3 days. I am guessing they extrapolate that over a month and aren’t factoring in that you just may have had a few audiobooks that finished at the same time (I listen to multiple audiobooks at a time).

I will look there! I would say I’m mostly kindle books, but I have a handful from other sources as well, that I can just manually update. Thank you :)

Yeah, but what I’m really looking for is a way to import straight from say, amazon, and straight into some sort of inventory program rather than have to keep fiddling with my dumb spreadsheet lol.  Maybe goodreads does this since Amazon bought them too?

I’ll look into Calibre as well.  I too have a couple of books that I own in both print and e-version--ones that are my absolute top favorites so I can lend out the print version and still own a copy in case it doesn’t make its way back to me :).

Scribd is awesome if you like audiobooks.  A better deal than Audible IMO and a good complement to the library collection.

Someone help a dummy out: Can you track all your e-books on here? If so do you just manually add them or is there a way to import? I have an embarrassing amount of unread e-books, because unlike the books on my shelves (which I also have an embarrassing amount of unread ones, but I’m at least ticking those off faster)
