No argument here about assholes being assholes, but modern diesel engines have come a long way. Especially since 2010. No more smelly tailpipes, and many of them produce less pollution than their gas counterparts.
Here's a good article explaining why you're right!
Apparently my pilot training oversimplified the concept of lift! Looking at a few of the links posted by some readers, it is a very complex concept that I don't fully understand.
Angle of attack makes a plane go higher or lower in altitude. It does not, by itself, cause the phenomenon of lift.
It's actually a very well understood principal. The top of the wing is curved and it takes the air going over the surface of the wing longer to reach the rear of the wing than it does for the air under the wing to reach the same point. When the air has to move faster over the top surface, it becomes less dense because…
The majority of lift is absolutely not created by the angle of attack.
We use a noise machine in our son's room to help mitigate other sounds. We don't turn it up too loud. If his door is closed we can even watch action movies at a decent volume and he wouldn't wake up. BUT, problem is, now he doesn't want his door closed when he goes to sleep. So we usually have to wait until he's…
One of things I try and remember when negotiating is if you really want a certain price/option etc. your language must minimize the chance for the other person to deny the offer. It's about not giving them an out. So instead of saying, "I would really prefer to get this price." which they could easily counter with…
I have to use something like this too. I wanted Mint to do it all, but they just don't have a feature that predicts account balances. Something that is kinda important in budgeting.
Where do you draw the line and say mental health was the primary motivation of someone's actions? Is there some history of court cases that allow us to easily distinguish, through a clinical diagnosis, whether a person can be accused as a criminal?
Also something to consider when deciding on the down payment would be the possibility of paying mortgage insurance. If you have less than 20% equity in the home upon purchasing, you will be required to pay insurance until that equity is reached. Here's an article about it and how to get rid of it from bankrate.
I'm not trying to make this into a broader argument about safety vs. freedom. That's a much more complicated issue. But there has to be a point in the size/speed of a UAV where they become dangerous enough to the general public that A) not everyone should be allowed to freely operate it and B) the areas of operation…
Eh, I loved flying gas powered model airplanes when I was younger and I would never fly one in an area like this, even if it were electric. The fact is, whether you want to call it a toy or not, UAVs of most sizes can be dangerous. So I don't have a problem saying this should be regulated. Now do I think a 10K fine is…
YES. I actually use both because I started with mint then learned that I needed a way to not only budget, but see future account balances. I had been using a google spreadsheet for a while, but I needed something more so I started using Quicken. Ironically, Intuit also built Mint, so you'd think this would be pretty…
The only problem I see with mint (which I use) is that it lacks the ability to predict account balances. Their desktop software from Quicken does it quite well, but they have not added the feature to mint.
Hello Hal. Thanks for coming on.
I'd like to do this in my car's console. That would be sooo convenient. No plugging/unplugging, just set it down and boom, charge time.
Nice grass!
Walgreens has a very easy way to do this if you link your RXs with an online account. It gives me the entire year of RXs and makes it very easy to add it to my medical deduction. I also use mint and can easily export all my expenses in the "doctor" category, including copays, co-insurance, and the rest to a…
