It’s not nostalgia. While New Horizons has more text and little interactions scenarios if you look at the text files, they botched the way you trigger these scenarios, so New Leaf end up being a more diverse/varied experience.

While this is relatively easy to do in English (basically, avoiding gendered talk when talking to the player’s avatar and usingthey” whenever NPCs talk about the player to each other), it is very complicated for romance languages like French and Spanish for example. Adjectives change form depending on the gender of

Looks like they either ramped up on the stuff you don’t like (character customization/skill trees) or we can expect them to be exactly the same (environments/quests) so it seems unlikely you’ll like that one.

What you describe seems to be more about trademark than copyright. If you draw a Pikachu with a hat or whatever, it is an original artwork and you are its rightful owner. However, depending on how you use it (like if you sell prints on t-shirts), you’re using a trademark you don’t own, so that’s why Nintendo would ask

Hum, it’s a bit more complicated than that.

I don’t think Valve is trying to compete directly with the Switch here. The PC gaming market is huge and there is definitely demand for a full portable PC gaming experience. Because of Steam, Valve is really in the best position to provide that kind of experience. I feel like they just want to expand the PC market

I don’t know much about the whole cards market, but does a reprint like that affect the value of the cards from the first (or just previous) print in general?

If this is referring to July 18, 1994, then this Martha character was still being changed up until weeks before the game’s release!

I’ll add Grizzy and the Lemmings (Netflix). Pretty short episodes, quite creative and very fun. It kinda has that Road Runner/Wile E Coyote vibe but a bit more modern.

But what would be the reason for loosing the trademark here? It’s definitely not genericization or abandonment. I really don’t see how this could affect Blizzard down the line in terms of loosing the trademark?

I’m curious. Could that be considered fair use/transformative enough?

Most likely because having “PO RN” highlighted wasn’t their intention in the first place. They got feedback most people would see it that way, that’s not how they wanted it to appear, they fixed it... It’s really all it is...

I’m curious. I remember a few teams creating fangames that had Patreon which seems to give OG developer a stronger position since they profiting from their IP. Is it often the case? Or are the C&Ded projects more often just fangames that are not using the original code and are not making a profit?

Honestly, organic inclusion of Pokémon capacities in exploration (such as Rock Climb as you mentioned, Fly, Sweet Scent, etc.) is most likely what will make a difference between this being a usual Pokémon game in an open-world setting or a wonderful open-world Pokémon game.

It essentially boils down to: He’s an entertainer and plenty of people like the kind of entertainment he provides (and in a certain measure, the kind of community he makes them feel they belong to).

Well, if you say it’s “limited” you can only produce a certain number and then it’s done, otherwise it’s false advertising. These are more “special” editions: they’ll manufacture a bunch, see how it sells and from there, they might make more.

What I meant by “honest mistake” is that the guy who used the art he found online was most likely convinced it was official Nintendo artwork, -(because it’s is very accurate recreation of the official art). It’s bad practices for sure, but the chance that they willfully used this guy’s art without his permission is

His work is so similar to the original that it’s very likely it was an honest (and dumb) mistake from the website guy who just looked for official art on the web. They’ll probably just replace the image as soon as they’re made aware of that, so as much as I agree that artists should be paid for their work and

I think nearly meaningless is a bit strong here. You still need to have a pretty clean version when you start printing. Even though most people have reliable Internet now, that’s not the case for everybody, so you want to avoid any hard lockups (unless it’s extremely hard to replicate) and major bugs that could really

Thanks for the insight. It definitely makes more sense with context. USUM is indeed a very unique game in the series as it is undeniably the most unnecessary game (even within the “third” entry in the generation).
