I gotta go VW Beetle. Make it an urban/suburban runabout, entertaining to drive and keep the costs down, and you’d have a winner.

Ok, ok....you win.

I have a couple I heard on automotive forums:

“Power-opening charge port door.”

This is it. Any time you add “fiery death” to “shitbox from the factory,” you kust have to go with it on this type of slide show.

That rear quarter view looks VERY much like one of the new Jeeps.  Or is that the other way around?

My dad ran a TV repair shop, so he was mostly all about the Ford wagons. But, he got a little outside when this came up from a friend. The timing had jumped, so my dad bought it and set about fixing it.

“Rambo, on the other hand, looks like shit.”

I tend to think of family as needing to be bigger than an Civic Si, so I put forward an Accord Sport 1.5T. Enough room for a family, good on gas, and if you get the stick, surprisingly sporty.

I ND’d even though I have an irrational love for these things, especially with the supercharger.

Flat head screwdriver. Why in blazes do slotted screws keep getting used when Philips/Hex/Torx/Robertson etc. are all very clearly superior?

Ron Howard said in an interview once that he has two kids with the middle name Carlysle.  This was because they gave the kids middle names based on where they were conceived and "we used to live on Carlysle Street, and Volvo is a stupid middle name."

OK, hear me out: A Dodge Durango.

T-Roofs, baby.

I think that the answer is less a car, and more an attitude. If the buyer gets something that they are truly passionate about — the type of thing that they like to wash just to feel the lines of the body — douchery can be avoided.

This one’s easy: the “Recaros” in a Focus ST. The seatbacks were excellent, but the seat bottom, with the rock-hard narrow bolsters, basically made the seat unusable to anyone over 5 foot 8, 150 pounds. And I am WELL over those sizes. Even at my lightest, where I was gaunt, there would have been no hope.

Why not think big? Really big? Like the biggest?

I bought the first Poison album based on a two sentence review in Circus Magazine “Reminiscent of an earlier, club days Motley Crue. Way more style and a lot more substance.”

I damn near bought one of those Spec Vs back in the day. That was a lot of car for the money. Shame it wasn’t a smidge faster (same 0-60 as the ol.....uh...SE model?) but they were neat.
