I was all about that Typhoon until I saw the rust.....how can someone have something that rare and special, and just let it rot like that? Breaks my heart.
I had a 300S as a rental during my Mazda6 subframe recall, and it was pretty cool. It had good leg/shoulder room, drove well, and wasn’t horrid on gas with the V6. And the infotainment interface is great.
I always liked the look of these, and thought they would have made a great sleeper with more oomph. Suzuki has plenty of performance know-how, and could have made this into a total winner, but it’s performance was more “perfor-meh-nce.”
I am on board with this type of vehicle, just like I was with the GTI wagon variant, and the Focus ST wagon....none of which came here.
One lovely summer day in the Kawarthas during my university days (early 90s), I was coming out of the local mall and walking toward my dad’s car, when I saw a stunning woman...and she saw me. She gave me the eye, and I smiled at her. She smiled back. I gave her the eyes....she gave me the eyes....
Love the review, though I kept feeling like David was giving praise through gritted teeth at times. I would be interested to see how he would do with one of these as a long-term test vehicle.

Mechanic: Miss...this will cost you $3500.
If they call it the Mark E, I know just the guy to do the ads....
I am not sure it’s a surprise, but my aunt bought a Corolla wagon some years ago. They drove it for a few years, then sold it to my cousin. He drove it for a few years. The only surprise repair was a $25 weld to fix an exhaust leak on the stainless steel exhaust.
The feature that I care about that no one seems to is the sunroof delete. I have tried so many cars that were perfect, save for the fact that the sunroof, —which was mandatory if you wanted any other features — ate up all of my headroom.
Ok, this post proves to me I am Canadian. How? My thoughts through the post:
Just don't do this on the electric build.
He goes for “holey” grails.
This is rare, but it isn’t like these are going up in value. And it doesn’t have the features the most would consider essential for a daily driver. When was the last time you saw a car without the rear defogger?
I tried to sit in the current bdy style if RAV 4 a while ago. I am all upper body, and that sucker was painfully short on headroom for me at 6 foot 3. It might be OK for a slimmer gent, but I would not be able to make it work.
