My first thought looking at the pics was "man, that looks hard to work on, even with no body panels."

And passenger space. I looked at a Durango once, and with the front seat all the way back, there was nowhere near enough room for humans in the second row.

One of my impractical daily drivers was a 97 540i6....so yeah. Commuting with a V8 was bad enough, but knowing with each passing day the odds are piling up against you.....

Agreed.  Still my favourite of all the cars I have owned.

Mine was in a 98 SVTC as well.

Make the garage able to hold cars.  Then find the right C4 to put in it.

Agreed that it’s a perdect crime, as there is little to identify him by, unless someone perfects anal recognition software.

No offence, but “replace everything” does not equate to indestructibility. It just means you’ve replaced everything on a car that broke a lot.

I actually said this to someone about my BMW:

This was the point I wanted to make: I remember going to little leagur games in the back of Coach’s pickup (Safety 1st!), and I could easily clamber in the bed of the truck.

After my mom first got sick, my dad bought an ooooooooold Audi 4000S quattro. They lived in the country, and my dad wanted to be sure they could get out if they had to.

Ok, I grew up in an area that saw snow like that in the picture and that blower would have no hope of moving that much snow. Shovelling would be faster and less frustrating.

This is actually a BAT photo of a former co-worker’s car. It was awesome. That thing should have come with a captain, activity coordinator and Isaac the bartender.

That’s the name.

My dad was a Ford man, and out of the domestics, that is the one I favour.

I had a 1997 540i6 that was green with a green interior. Green dash, green seats green speaker grilles.

I still don’t think it will be much of contest. The Honda, by virtue of reputation and longtime skin in this game, will not depreciate as fast. Were I buying new, I would go for the Honda every time just on that point.

It has to be Ford deciding that it would be cheaper to let people burn to death and deal with the lawsuits instead of fixing the Pinto’s tendency towards fiery death. What a callous, immoral and horrible decision.

I grew up in the era of the land yacht, but we always had Ford LTD/Crown Vics, sometimes with the police package.

I have one for my Mazda6 and one for my wife’s Sienna, just sitting in the basement since....I dunno, 2016? At any rate, I sold the Mazda6 in 2019. Amybe I should get around to the one on the Sienna.
