My understanding is that the original Ford Duratec V6, as was used in the Contour/Mystique models was developed by Porsche under contract. Porsche was pulling 250hp from the 2.5 litre motors. Ford, to make it work as a production model, had to make a lot of changes, which brought it down to 170 hp.
The Morgan Stanley guy (or, since he is talking electric SUVs, Morgan Stanl-E) is saying that the brand could b-E worth billions, but it is onl-E worth that because it was not used to sell SUVs. Chev-E could sell it under an-E number of monikers (E-Quinox? E-nvoy? E-Blazer? With a GMC E-quivalent called the Jim-E?) or…
CP all the way and twice on Sunday’s, but giving you the ability to use this meme softens the blow.
This one may, but like I said, when I cross shopped, I looked at a 2015 Genesis, and it was nice, but not NICE nice. As to your points....
The problem I run into with these is....is it really that much nicer than a full load Sonata? I cross shopped a 2015 Genesis with a 2016 Sonata 2.0T, and the Sonata had more room. The materials weren’t thousands of dollars different. Taking the engine out of the equation, why not just get a Sonata?
With respect tot he big guy with bigger kids looking at an SUV, DON’T! Most of the mid-sized SUVs do not have the space you want. I looked at all of them (6 foot 3, long upper body, 300+ pounds) and with the seat all the way back there wasn’t much out there that would let me put my son (6 y/o, but already over 4 feet…
That’s because there is.
Sooo.....the 2nd newst car in your fleet is the winter beater.
As soon as I started reading this, I got the music and the “Pew! Pew!” noises going in my head. And I smiled.
But if someone slides it in the back door like that, is it reeeeeeally an accident?
Very true. A guy I know has one, and when I saw the exterior, I said “YEAH!”
So I wasn’t the only one that thought “looking back at rusted out shitboxes” meant he was looking through the back window of his kitchen?
A company like Superformance or Factory Five needs to get on making Pantera kits. Modern Mustang drivetrain with power steering and good brakes would be just about perfect.
I hate, hate, HATE when people recline in front of me, possibly because I am 6 foot three and built by snack foods into the size of an offensive lineman. Flying is bloody uncomfortable enough with the seat in front of me fully upright. If someone is going to recline in front of me, they can at least be polite enough…
“American, French and Italian quality under one roof? I bet the Japanese are terrified!”
A friend of mine had a Neon for a long time. Her and her husband would drive the hell out of it, and it came back for more....
Wow, apparently no one commenting here has ever heard of ELECTRIC leaf blowers, which are quiet and quite powerful.
