Ah! I see now, I can’t believe I never noticed the different icon. I guess I never noticed since I always managed all these settings in their respective apps or online. Glad I know about it, now though. Looks like it could be convenient.

This confused me. I’ve been using stock android devices the whole time I’ve been an Android user. And for the last 3 years I’ve been exclusively using Nexus devices. Do other phones have separate settings apps? Doesn’t hitting the gear in the notification shade take everyone to the settings app?

I’m still waiting for people to realize how completely useless Amiibo’s are. Oh, that’s right... Consumers are idiots. I almost forgot.

I feel internet/gaming addiction is a real thing in that people can be addicted to pretty much anything so long as it offers some form of "reward."

Looks great, but at $100 it's the premium option, and this $17 one looks good enough. I've been looking for an affordable, quality mount and the iOttie One Touch 2 looks like it'll do the job.

So, what you are saying is: I could have a tons of headaches trying to botch together my own solution... Or, I could simply use a third party service and pay the whooping $10 bucks a month for a terabyte of storage.

I don't think it's to troll. It's an honest assessment, the title of the article is nonsense. If you are using a cloud storage service, you are getting a lot more than just file syncing. If that's all you need, then sure, its fine. But, most users of cloud storage are looking for more than that. TO say you could ditch

That doesn't offer anywhere near the level of service that you can get from Microsoft, Dropbox, Google and pretty much any cloud storage service that allows for actual backup features, such as revision history. Not to say the BT Sync is useless, it just isn't a replacement for Dropbox, et. al. but merely a convenient

Err, that's quite untrue. You can have Mods in multiplayer games. The issue would be balance. So, modded servers wouldn't have rankings or whatever. But, technology wise, it's quite possible so long as the game has dedicated servers that anyone can run. Run your own server, put whatever mods you want in, good to go.

With all the time and money spent on hair, perhaps Square-Enix could have maybe made a decent RPG for once?

It's got to be a joke. Ditch your Cloud storage for... non-cloud storage?

So, a game I didn't care much about has made me care even less. Thanks for the heads up.

I have the ad supported Paperwhite. The ads don't affect reading at all. They only show up on the screensaver and as tiny banners in the store. They never appear while reading, so if you want a good e-reader with eInk, I'd jump on this right now.

I have the ad support Paperwhite, it's really not a problem. The ads show up only has screen savers or browsing the store as tiny banners, and never while reading. Honestly, I don't even know why it's worth paying more to not have them. They in no affect using the device at all.

I didn't even know this sort of animosity existed. Then again the idea of competitive Smash Bros has always made me cringe. Why turn a party game into a a competition, especially since the games have never been what anyone could reasonable call balanced.

I didn't even know about this game until a few days ago. Then I learned it was by Techland and I immediately took notice. Loved the first Dead Island, so I'm intrigued. When it goes on sale in Steam, I'll have to pick it up.

It doesn't need to be. The average Let's Play video doesn't rake in millions of dollars like a game can in sales and merchandise licenses. The Youtuber, if their mildly successful, might make enough to afford to make videos without a side job. The handful of really popular Youtube stars may make into the millions, but

Please, oh please do not think that it's only a $200 dollar investment. A good HD camera alone is gonna set you back at least $500. The computer? A computer that can stream, edit video, and handle having 10+ applications open is going to be around $1200 - $2000. You need an internet connection to stream, with lots of

And here is where the argument falls apart. This is a greed issue. They make their money from selling their games, hardware, and licensed merchandise. They already have multiple ways of making their money back on their investment. And they do. Nintendo was not losing money to Let's Plays, if anything they were reaping

It isn't forever, actually, but it might as well be. Reviews are fair use, Nintendo does not, and should not, have the right to be a gatekeeper on such content. Let's Plays are a different matter, and though I disagree with it, you are right that Nintendo does have a say on such videos. I would argue that Nintendo
