I see no reason to ban it, but I don't really see drag as something for children. Though that's probably just because the drag content that I've been exposed to has been on the more sexually-charged side.

The closed loop theory has been more or less proven at this point, because Geillis’s skull and Claire and Jamie’s obituary both existed in the 60s before Claire went through the stones for the second time. All the things she did in the past had already happened.

What the fuck? Why would Peele put his name on this?

I feel like the reason Roger sings a lot is because it’s the only skill he has that’s still relevant in the 18th century.

Thank God, I was worried you’d stopped last episode.

There are still people on this very website that are mad at Susan Sarandon for sticking with Bernie in 2016.

The show has this weirdly misanthropic undercurrent that is incredibly offputting to me, I’m not anxious to see S3 because of it.

The ladies are pretty easy on the eyes, too.

They address that in the book, but given the show’s sloppy history with discussing racism I’m glad they handwaved it.

Based on the trailer for the season, Marsali is more likely to fill that role.

Lizzy also seems kinda, I dunno... childish? I’m not sure how old her character is supposed to be, (I assumed she’s the same age as Brianna) but it’s weird seeing what seems to be a twenty-something actress swoon over boys the way a middle-schooler would and playing with toys.

This looks like they put every other Netflix original series about teenagers in a blender and filmed the result

The entire sequence of Jamie putting on the kilt again and getting his family and allies to swear their oaths to him sent chills down my spine, especially when accompanied by the Gaelic war song from S2. For the most part this episode was Outlander at its best, minus the huge question mark of Jocasta, who the show

Thank god, I’ve been wanting him to get murdered for a while!

I like it ‾\_(ツ)_/‾

It mystifies me how people can complain about high fantasy getting old when you compare it to the sheer volume of superhero TV and movies that come out each year.

Nothing magical about it, necessity, violent upheaval, and desparation is where all major change comes from. Look at the Haitian and French Revolutions, I bet people thought slavery and feudalism would never go away either. There is literally nothing rational about just giving up, and you need to stop conceptualizing

A24 isn’t a studio, they don’t make movies. They purchase independent films, and sometimes produce them. It’s like saying that a particular record label “makes good music”.

What have we learned today?

Changing the consumption habits of 10% of the world to be more in line with the way 90% of the world ALREADY LIVES seems a hell of a lot easier than getting people to stop having children. I’m not talking about living in abject poverty, either.

And even then, energy consumption doesn’t need to be decreased, where
