While I’d love to be proved wrong, I don’t believe the academy will give one of the ‘big 6‘ Oscars to Barbie. Oppenheimer will likely get an acting award or two, Nolan’s got a shot at best director, but based on the last several years, it’s made too much money to be considered for best picture.

There are good movies on this list, but there’s some real stinkers as well.

Mother! is a JLaw film that has nothing to do with Netflix. The Mother is a JLo film (which was a perfectly serviceable action fime) Produced by Netflix.

I would not have guessed a theatrical release.

Ariana’s getting most of the blame/press for this, because she’s 1) a woman, 2) way more famous than Slater, and 3) a woman.

I do. The heightened contrast makes it easier to read, so no surprise people with vision correction would prefer it.

Dark mode is, for me, much easier to read. However, removing features just for aesthetics is a bad idea, and will likely be punished by users (unless you’re Apple).

I guess people can think what they like; I found her delightful.
