Always look for the silver lining.
Always look for the silver lining.
The critics’ scores, while admittedly low, were neither odd nor perplexing to me, after seeing the movie.
I couldn’t be bothered to look up the others, but Captain Marvel has a 79% Critics score vs. 45% audience. Regardless, audience scores are worse than useless due to review bombing, or otherwise gaming the system.
Still, none of that sounds like ‘losing’, from Funko’s POV.
I thought most tickets were digital. I’m surprised reselling is a thing.
Wait, the Twisted Metal game had a ‘storyline’?
So, “Xwitter”?
Small, indie production. No money, pinch every penny until it screams.
I’m willing to bet you haven’t actually seen Oppenheimer, because ‘patriotic’ is not high on the list of adjectives I’d use.
The man blows up cars, rockets, and now a whole ass company.
I’d agree that they should have pointed out that these laws are at least ostensibly based on religion. It’s clear that a christian based government would do much the same, given the chance. Fortunately, people are beginning to realize that these days “conservative” is “religious fanatic” without the courage of their…
“this doesn’t turn out good for either of them”
Just so. Worst episode of the season, from a “plot making sense” standpoint.

They could, of course, make up for any revenue shortfall with a tax increase on corporations and the wealthy.
Rise of Skywalker was objectively the worst of the three movies, taken as a whole. However, Rian Johnson turning Finn, Poe and Rose into mutineers responsible for the destruction of most of the fleet probably sticks in the actors’ craws a bit.
The word “teen” is doing an awful lot of work with the Riverdale actors.
The Matrix is a fantastic movie; I’d argue one of the best Science Fiction movies of all time. That said, the “the deeper philosophical questions” it asks are no deeper than those asked by stoned college freshmen after their first week of Philosophy for non-majors “What if this is all, like, an illusion, man...?”
Unless everything involving actors and writers is completely done, I’d probably start putting asterisks behind any release dates.
