The current arc is good, and Gon meeting Ging didn’t really feel like much of an ending. Focusing on Kurapika’s goals was a good idea, and this arc seems like it may tie up Hisoka and the Spiders’ stories as well. I just wish he’d keep writing!

The article was great, and it made a great, coherent point.
I did the same thing, waited until the game was $15 to play it. I love 1,3, and 4, and honestly DMC is pretty good. It certainly has the best boss fight in the series. In the end it’s not as good as 3 or 4, and I’d rather they return to the main universe with the next one, but it wasn’t a wasted effort. It’s good!
No kids, marriage, conservative family members, and no pets! It’s good to be up front, but I also kind of think you need a big ol’ hug.
It is okay! If that’s your decision based on all the information available to you. Iron Giant doesn’t strike the same chord with everyone, in fact it probably strikes this particular chord with about 1% of its audience. When your budget is fixed to 2ish new games per year, is that really a gamble worth taking? You…
For a good 8 years of my life I could usually swing spending about $100 on video games per year. Did I want to play The Witness? I did, very badly! But it was $40 for a limited number of puzzles when it came out. So let’s compare it (an 86 on Metacritic) to Diablo 3 (88 on Metacritic). Metacritic is not a perfect…
The home team won two games. DOOOOOOOM.
God of War 2 is on this list, but not Devil May Cry 3? DMC3 is the best character action game ever made. Also, NBA Street Vol. 2 has a real argument for best sports game.
Wair, why do we get the shitty looking one? I feel like the buttons were red most of the time on US machines.
Slowing the progression, however, has the unintended side-effect of making it even less desirable to go back if you miss an expansion. The further you are behind your friends, the less of a rhythm you get into, the harder it is to find a consistent raid group, and the less appealing Destiny is. And I just can’t with…
This is some solid advice. I had the same issue, but with watching football, specifically. It ate up 3 1/2 hours of every Sunday at least and turned me into a pretty miserable human being. My wife talked to me about it on a Wednesday (good strategy!), and really presented it as more of a value proposition: When you…
Yes, maybe the worst thing you can say about this game, in spite of everything else going wrong with it, is that this is STILL crap they meant for D1.
Hey this guy hasn’t gotten the bill yet!
We live in a country where the $6000 my wife and I paid for the entire birth process is a ‘steal’ and simply calling an ambulance so you don’t die costs $2000. But man am I glad we’re building that chain link fence on the southern border. That is swell.
The 4th time I got a port-a-fort I just used it immediately. The first three times I got it I just held onto it, waiting for... something. Now my policy is to immediately use any new item with RECKLESS ABANDON and just see what happens because, you know what, I’m just going to die shortly anyway.
Negative credit to whichever dad was the girl’s for not sinking in a rear-naked choke on that guy. Not because that is the appropriate way to conduct oneself, but because I am now just ANGRY at the SON OF A BITCH handing out the pucks and I have no catharsis.
The bad guy from KH and the bad guy from KH2 are two halves of one bad guy, Xehanort, he’s the BADDEST guy. He wants to make a Chi-blade, which is the BADDEST blade, because homophones are fun!
That Hercules movie was so WEIRD. All the advertising made it seem like he was doing the story of Hercules, but the whole trailer was in the first 2 minutes of the movie as what people thought he did, and actually his friends and him just made it all up with, like, practical effects? And then he gets hired based on…
So those Poirot books are both going to see theatrical release in 2020, then.
Not sure if it counts, but the cold open for There Will Be Blood is the good stuff. So much dread, but nothing particularly dreadful is happening.
