I doubt your co-worker thought much of your comment.  Your co-worker has accepted that you are a boring asshole who criticizes matters of subjective, aesthetic appeal like a soccer game. You were likely just ignored.

Just the description of the cave alone made it seem like the mini “submarine” would be completely impractical. The fact that he was still harping on about it while the kids were being rescued by divers makes him seem like either a complete egomaniac, or disconnected from reality.

You’ve not read the comic. Her story is one of the most original and thoughtful ones out there. It’s not everyday that a supporting hero, outshines the lead characters. Faith, does just that.
