This case doesn’t make sense. The vast majority, 99% of the ambulance costs are fixed. There is no financial incentive to not take the patient to the hospital. In fact, non payment is built in to the business model, so taking a patient who might pay is better than not taking them at all getting nothing.
$300K for the 2 paramedics annually, plus the cost of equipment and maintenance, plus replacement of perishables makes ambulances expensive. The thing is, 99% of that is fixed cost. The marginal cost of each ride is very small.
Oh, and milk. I forgot the milk. I get shit from people who let’s be honest, have no taste, but you’ve got to add milk to your velveeta queso to get the consistency right.
A hot dog from a cart is shitty sausage...and it too is good.
The thing is, with vomit, you really can’t get it all out without ripping out and replacing the upholstery. There is no compensation for getting real vomit out of your car.
In the interest of justice and efficiency, we cut it in half. Done. Now go to jail.
Actually, the history of chile con queso is closer to the bloomin onion than poor people’s food. Local history here has its origin as invented by an ingenious Tejano restauranteur who realized he could adapt queso fundito with cheap govt cheese and sell it to the anglos. It got popular then copied by others.
I just added the recipe. See response to luckymc44 below.
I don’t know what they used, but I made it for the supper bowl with white Velveeta, spiked with real sharp cheddar, added pico, and just sauteed sliced white button mushrooms, jalapenos chopped into sticks (caution I like it hot, but this litterally makes tear gas, so you may want to go with poblano like they do at El…
Word.
Nachos: Tortilla chips arranged in a single layer. Toppings like refried beans, cheese, meat are added in appropriately considered amounts and the whole thing is baked in an oven until cooked. Cold items like pico, salsa, sour cream, etc are served on the side and added to the chips as you eat them. Good.
I don’t know. Best queso I ever had was with sauteed mushrooms/jalepenos and caramalized onions. I got it from a restaurant called El Alma in Austin.
While it is really great to have 150,000 words and minutes on how to make marginally better an almost too easy to fuck up staple...you got the Biscuit Man have him show us how to make fluffy biscuits.
I actually think this can makes recycling harder. Anything that complicates the recycling process makes it more expensive. An aluminium can with plastic components that requires manual processing increases labor costs.
San Antonio isn’t a baseball town. I think expansion will run into this in a lot of places. We never had a pro team, so there is no established base of baseball fans, and baseball is not good at attracting the younger fans who would be the ones to adopt fandom in a new sport. SA has football fans, so that expansion is…
This just goes to how fucked up racism is in this country. This guy is built like The Rock. Someone with half a brain should be able to look at this guy and think potential customer, not homeless crackhead.
I spend a lot of time on the road and I spend a lot of time in public bathrooms. The cleanliness of the bathroom is directly proportional to how well it is maintained and not the type of clientele. I’ve gone to horrible bathrooms in the nice part of town only accessible by car that remind me of the worst bathroom in…
