it looks like a Chinese knockoff of the Isuzu Rodeo based Honda Passport. I don’t hate it.

CP. Too pricey for a “meh” version of an already not-overly-desirable bike.
in before “EJ2XX?!?! still?!?!” But also... WTF Subaru, still an EJ motor?
a fine tradition indeed. That and not centering the steering wheel on the drivers seat. At least they didn’t run center stitching on the seat so its less obvious THAT ITS NOT CENTERED WITH THE GODDAMN STEERING WHEEL.
that was my thought... same motor even. In Australia, they call them Aussie Racing Cars, but similar chassis, different bodies, and run on V8 Supercar courses.
to Tank’s point though - look at this transmission: its a through shaft, to a manual box, driving a differential bolted to the transmission. The parts are there. Bespoke it may be, but the components are there, which they weren’t for a DCT from the GM house...
Is this where we comment about the base model having unsafe headlights?
So its an F250 with a leveling kit from the factory? For how many extra kilobucks?
Why don’t manufacturers make the seats fold FLAT!?!? Its a nice wagon... but now if you have something long and flat, its not sitting flat the whole way! Maybe its a silly point, but FFS, none of the current hatchbacks or wagons seem to fold down into a large, FLAT cargo area
The rear seats not folding flat is a hard no-sell already. I was test driving hatches recently with my gf, who is coming from a Honda Fit. The XC40 has less interior room, despite being a much bigger vehicle. Why? The rear seats only fold down to that “angled” flat. This looks like the same. If you’re going to…
Find a VW Westfalia pop-top and graft it onto the XJ!
yeah, and if that’s a real photo of his car, the car is not that low... That’s in the “reasonable street suspension” range, not the “H2Oi” range
barely broken in! My ‘92 has ~91k!
i have one of these. Mine is a ‘92, with ~91,000 miles on it. I’ve ridden it to the East Coast from Colorado, then to the West Coast from NY, then to Alaska, all the way to the North Coast (Prudhoe Bay). These are truly go-around-the-world bikes. With factory cases, this is a fair asking price to start. It looks clean…
GM is really trying to saturate the SUV/CUV market. Pretty soon you’ll be able to pick your size SUV in 4 inch wheelbase increments. Now if only they’d have built the truck-based Blazer we wanted...
Still waiting for some real action shots of this. Long Beach said they couldn’t tandem (something about electric cars racing with non being a local rule??), but couldn’t they at least do a demo run? So far we’ve seen it do donuts in front of the shop, and Donut Media did a video where someone sat in it.... I’m all…
better take: this color looks great, and standard BRG is a played out trope on modern cars.
knock 2 doors off the Tahoe, give it the Silverado front fascia, call it a Blazer, and be done. Instead, they’ve filled a (‘nother) slot in the CUV/SUV lineup that begs the question of “why do you need another FWD SUV???”
Yeah, these are neat little “toys” but as “cars” go, they’re pretty laughable. Minimal storage, wonky top actuation with lots to go wrong, and VERY GM (read: terrible) interior. That said, as a toy, they’re sweet! Think of it as a mini-vette, and they fit the profile! And CHEAP. There’s a redline here in TX on…
I’ll second that statement. Also the off throttle “burble” sounds so forced on the turbo BMW’s... it sounds like someone put a whoopie cushion under the clutch pedal (for those that actually have 3 pedals).
