FA20 is good up to around 250wtq on the stock clutch even. The rear end comes out of the is350. drivetrain is probably fine to handle this engine.

EIGHT HUNDRED THOUSAND MILE CLUTCH
if one more ad exec or magazine editor tries to imply that maisie williams is attractive i’m gonna start throwing hands
i’m going to be very interested whether its a rotary or inline 6 but RX literally stands for Rotary Experimental so it absolutely must have a wankel or be called something else imo. If its inline 6 it should be called something else. Bring back the Eunos or Efini name badge, or if you really want to lean into the…
almost every car mazda makes comes in manual (only their minivan and biggest SUV were left off last i recall). Zero chance mazda makes this without a manual unless its a $120k track special that’s meant to go against GTRs, 911 GT3s, etc. and that’s unlikely
dude you don’t replace wheel bearings on a $3k car. you drive it until the wheels literally fall off. its a beater and it looks to be in great shape for 200k miles. You could DD/beater this thing for 40k miles or longer then turn around and sell it or scrap it for a grand at the end
My parents bought one of these brand new when i was in middle school in 2000. i’m 30 and they still have it. over 200k on the clock. always parked outside so the clearcoat is looking terrible (Toyota actually had some problems with the paint on these) but mechanically it is unbelievable how well that thing still runs…
Video games can be funny they just historically haven’t been good at slapstick and lowbrow humor with a few exceptions (earthworm jim, crash bandicoot, etc.)
Japan was putting a hurting on USA brands well before they ever built factories in America. I’m always interested in how people want to blame organized labor because the leadership of these companies (which we can all agree have been absolutely putrid) have been pushing that line for decades to deflect from their own…
thats still the fault of US OEMs because Japanese workers were always unionized too and they didn’t drive as hard of a bargain because japanese OEMs didn’t treat them like crap. Japanese companies had a lot of structural disadvantages compared to Americans who had better supply chains, integration, less regulation,…
The LC, and new NSX are two of the best looking cars on the market IMO. Supra looks really good in person. As far as boring crossovers go the new RAV4 and NX200 actually look pretty good too. Their designs in general are derivative but they usually avoid big missteps and its not like domestic manufacturers are exactly…
it really is a good solution. the 86 platform also has this. it is easily removable/defeatable if you don’t like it, and the plenum that allows for noise to come into the cabin doesn’t even open until you are >3k on the tach so it isn’t like its bothersome in regular driving. I think the LFA was actually one of the…
those second people should just buy a new 86 or BRZ because there is literally nothing better about the 240sx than the newer equivalent gt86 platform. a mint 86 is lighter, cheaper, safer, faster, more balanced, more powerful, and more available than a mint s14 and has just as big of an aftermarket. i get how people…
Skyler’s car was a Wagoneer, the car in the article is a Grand Cherokee, which replaced the Wagoneer.
i know economically this isn’t true but my brain just can’t fathom that there is a massive backlog of demand for clean stock 240sxs. The car just isn’t anything special stock. it weighed 2800 lbs which isn’t heavy but isn’t necessarily light and the stock engine might as well be out of a 2000s camry - it only got…
kids with rich parents played Gran Turismo too
rich people really do wanna get arrested like Tron in that Chappelle show law and order sketch
Given all the problems with DCT golfs and GTIs and the servicing they require i’d still just as soon have a stick for $2000 less
i honestly think most people who complain about the car not having enough power have probably never even driven the car to peak horsepower (7k RPMs). People want the car to “feel” faster i.e. have torque when they floor it from cruising in 6th like a turbo Mustang or WRX. How fast it actually is around a track or a…
