modern supercars are not for people who love cars they are for people with lots of money that want to look like they have lots of money.

every time i think about the last gen viper

the only thing wrong with the e60 is that it came after the most well-loved 5 series design of all time.  even the e60 m5 is an incredible follow-up to the e39 from a driving dynamics and sheer “oh hell yeah we’re really doing this” with its f-1 derived v10 engine and astronomical redline. if the e39 never happened

This is the turbocharged BRZ everyone was asking for

I loved this game at the time and i’ll maintain that it is better than Midnight Club and NFS if you are an actual car guy because there is more emphasis on the cars and real modifications.  it nails the vibe of the whole underground racing scene a lot better even if it is slightly less fantastical than the competitors.

dude $15k is well out of reach for people who are struggling.  $15k is more of a price range for younger people who have prospects but aren’t really established yet.  new cars were never a viable option for people who are struggling and neither are most used cars.  there’s a lot more shitboxes on the road than you

Are we going to mention that civil asset forfeiture (cops taking your stuff) has cost americans more than all robbery combined in the last 5 years?

bipartisan doesn’t mean a majority, just that republicans and democrats support it.  there was bipartisan support for impeachment/conviction in the senate but the president was acquitted.

i disagree with the “no reason” part.  Some cars just need to have a v8 and its not about power or handling performance.  This is an “emotions” car it doesn’t need a logical motor.  I guarantee the execs who were in charge of this project, given hindsight would almost definitely take a do-over and do it with a v8 if

once again the answer is miata

yeah i see why people bought this new because it had factory quality and warranty support but thats a hard sell after 20 years.  For $20k you can buy a newer miata or 86 and add aftermarket forced induction or a decent example of a fiata or s2k and drive it stock or nearly stock.

not likely homey i know what i got

bro its a Civic Type-R.  That’s exactly who’s buying this car! let me guess you want an STI without a big wing or for Dodge to bring back the Viper as a plug-in hybrid?

i mean nothing would fit the ethos of the last 10 years of BMW better than finally giving us an m3 wagon but its the ugliest one they ever made and you can’t even get it in stick

the pic they used is the ugly girl dating app cleavage profile picture

i don’t know what looks more depressing, the interior or the engine bay

people are buying new because of liquidity, not just cost. you can often by a car with less money down when you buy new. also when you buy a new car you know you’re not going to have to shell out $400-500 for tires or something a few months down the road.

corvette guys all die of covid and the c8 flops <<<

honestly if you are going to drive one of these old, unsafe, slow, relatively uncomfortable, bad on gas cars from the 60s you might as well get a v8 and have a car that sounds and feels as good as it looks.  the 6 is a tough sell for me.

hahaha you don’t like someone just because they hateful, unethical, and mismanaging a crisis that has resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths.  wish i knew how you felt but i am too mature to dislike him.
