Well, once I can buy a Subaru with great build quality, a transmission that isn’t a CVT, and either a turbo or the 3.6R, and one my wife doesn’t hate, I’ll pull that trigger.

I bought mine because I have a bunch of kids and actually like to take it off road. I live in CO which has lots of places to camp/hike/off road legally. Where I take the Land Cruiser is not somewhere I could take a Prius.
Exactly. Think of how things would go if people acted on the street the way they do in cars. There would be far more broken noses and bruised fists. If people understood the laws of the road, (like keep right except to pass) there would be far less road rage. Europeans do a far better job of this since the penalties…
I had the ‘pleasure’ years ago of changing the plugs in my grandfather’s ‘97 F-150 4.6L. That was the most miserable service I’ve ever done...3 hours, 4 broken plugs, and no skin left on my knuckles. The next time it was due for service, I just took it in to an indy shop and paid them. That engine goes way back under…
I’d disagree. I have a 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser which is very very similar to the LX570 of today. I have zero qualms about taking it offroad and had Slee put a 2.5” lift on it. It’ll go far more places than my pucker-factor will allow. It’s also the most reliable vehicle and ridiculously cheap to maintain vehicles…
I got RIDICULOUSLY excited this morning when I saw a white BMW i8 here in Denver. Too slow on the draw with my phone for a pic though. So unfortunately I have no evidence other than almost pissing in my gym shorts. South Broadway FTW!
Yeah, same platform but 100% different everything else.
Agreed. With 2 miserable ownership experiences behind me and 3 bad rental car problems I avoid them like the plague. Although lately I have been renting challengers and chargers with roughly 3K miles on them. They seem to still work well at that point.
Pretty much like Chrysler — “We created spontaneously exploding vehicles for the better part of 2 decades.” Buy more of them. Oh, and please ignore the stats that say we make the least reliable vehicles in the US.
This is awesome. I so want to get back into riding. I sold my last (and most favorite) bikes (a brand new Triumph Sprint ST) back in 2013. However with a sales job and the inability to show up in gear and sweat and very young children, I haven’t yet purchased another. A BMW F800 GS is in my future. Perfect bike for CO.
Well, if history is the predictor, we should buy a car max warranty for it too!
Sadly it is for real. Car dealers often have inaccurate inventory and don’t have a clue what’s actually available. Last year I actually bought and paid for a car from a Toyota dealer here in Denver from one of their other locations across the country. Turns out no one at the dealer here bothered to call to see if it…
The biggest problem with the navigator is this: it’s horribly out of date. I had a rental one last week and was shocked at how shitty the interior is. Felt like the typical ‘90s Ford crap. That eco-boost V6 however... ;-)
No, a GX and an LX are completely different animals. While I’m still shocked Toyota/Lexus have made the LC/LX vehicles available in this country, I love my LC. I did not like the GX.
Wow! It looks fantastic. Maybe $40K fantastic but definitely not $85K fantastic. Of course I’d price something I don’t want to sell the same way!
People without children have no idea how much of a luxury it is to do something as simple as buy groceries without them.
Yeah — my brother has a CDL and did some hauling for a road-construction company post-college. He was expected to understand how to drive/operate the equipment he was moving as well as be able to do basic repairs on the trucks. He got quite fast at replacing driveshafts. Due to the sheer weight of what they’re moving…
Love potholes. Lifted Land Cruiser here. Aim, hit, repeat.
“RU WILLING TO TRADE FOR ELITE GLASS?” “I have a full ounce if you want to trade...” Definitely not ditch.
Nice. Littleton here. Got a 1 month old as the latest addition to the fam — so no playing around for just a bit.
