I think that was taking aim at “We’re not as unreliable as we used to be.” “And the depreciation is just slightly the worst major truck brand in the US.” Please forget those things.

This isn’t actually a bad idea and it could bring something to FCA that it needs most: RELIABILITY. In my (anecdotal) experience plus several surveys from JD Power, FCA vehicles are the least reliable in the US. If they merge with Honda + 10 years, I might actually strike the ‘I’ll never own another daily driver

To be honest, the stock brakes on the 200 are fine. They are more than enough to overwhelm the traction available. It’s just another one of those ‘why not’ moments. If I have the front wheels off and am doing brakes, why not upgrade? Super easy.

Wow! That’s awesome looking! Great shots of all.

I had Slee (I live 15 miles from them) put on the OME lift with new upper control arms. I did not like the stock suspension anywhere but on smooth asphalt. Now it drives properly everywhere.

Yes, they are plastic. The '13+ cruisers have different headlamps than the '08-'11 ones. I'm a little manic about cleanliness and maintenance so I'm hoping they'll stay clear. At this point with 2 years and 50K miles, they're crystal clear but my truck is kept spotless and always garaged when at home.

This thing actually looks pretty good! I'll expect to see tons of them lined up in rental-car guise. I'm sad to see that Chrysler still can't make a reliable and good-shifting slush box.

Well, even a Grand Cherokee can hit the 70K mark if you tick every box...and that's a CHRYSLER! And then you have to compete with rental car companies when you go to sell it. As a former owner, I was unhappy with the quality and the depreciation, not to mention the horrible service/dealer experience.

This is mine...

Yeah, they get pretty crazy spendy with armor. They can be had new in the low-mid 70s if you wait for a model year transition and hunt around.

You might have to pry it from my cold, dead hands! Seriously though — it's capable, comfortable, and classy enough to take into the city and valet park. Hell, I happily parked my '99 100-series with valet.

I love my '13 Land Cruiser. Has a 2.5" lift on it and Toyo AT tires. You'd be amazed what it can do if you know how to use it. In addition to the standard point-and-shoot AWD, it has a real 4-lo, and CRAWL control is unbelievable. If you want to flip it around a switchback, hit the OTA (offroad turn assist) button

As the owner of a 2013 Land Cruiser, yes...yes I do! Don’t care — I’d happily buy another one and drive right past the Chrysler dealer.

Go search for used Toyota Land Cruisers. Ridiculously expensive with quarter-million-mile examples.

Look up the recall — it has ‘90s models, ‘00 models up to the redesign (to extreme crap) in ‘07. Chrysler made basically the same design with some body tweaks for the better part of 20 years. Both gens suffer from the same issue with the fuel tank — weak unibody construction and a propensity for it to catch fire in a

In this certain case I disagree. Chrysler has already recalled the JGC for this issue before and convinced the government to allow them to install trailer hitches instead of actually moving/replacing the fuel tanks. Since that didn’t work and is certainly indicative of many of Chrysler’s larger quality issues, they

I've discussed my car buying practices on here a few times — I pay cash and do the deal over the phone. This was the final straw that broke the camel's back with Chrysler products.

CP All the way — looks like it was built by AEM in 2003. The bolt-on wing puts it FAR over the cliff. Ugh.

Haha — I hear you. I like the LS460 more and more every day. Although the next vehicle purchase is my wife’s...and she wouldn’t notice a noise unless a picture and a ding popped up on the LCD between the gauges or on the nav screen.

It’s quite impressive. I’ve driven a few Maximas as rentals and always enjoyed it. I’m not a huge fan of the CVT-ization of the world but the Maxima’s has always done quite well with the 3.5L V-6. If I were looking for a cheap-ish sedan with POWER, this would make the short-list.
