The failure of Lululemon to hire people of colour (or many people of colour) is a racist policy that this writer referenced in her article.

She may or may not but the problems she talked about here were employment-related and exploitation by employers is not a problem for whites only. Far from it.

Well, considering they seem pretty clear about not wanting to hire POC...

For any who think this is a First Amendment issue:

Operating a business in the public sphere means you agree to comply with anti-discrimination laws. Nobody forced the business owners to do that.

I agree it’s an exorbitant amount. The worst part is that you know they’re going to make bank with a gofundme campaign after this.

I do sort of feel for the bakers. I mean, after all we all know that the original translation of Mark 6:41 reads:

This is why I hate the song “Jolene.” I mean, it’s a lovely song to listen to! But everything it says is just so fucked up and wrong. Not least because, for the love of god, if the only way you can keep your “man” is to beg other women not to have sex with him, he is seriously not worth keeping.

I really hope no one tells her to “get over it.” Often we’re able to talk about traumatic events when we are finally over it.

I think a LOT of bears are going to have a good time this weekend.

I KNOW. Glamorous graduate school life? They’re also going to need some footage of me eating ramen in a shithole studio apartment, and, like, renewing my glamorous bus pass.

also, HE IS CLEARLY MARRIED and she STILL doesn’t get that at the end, which is mind-blowing. like, thats not an engagement party, sweetie.

Are you high? People have been advocating for the removal of the flag for decades. It’s just now that we’ve reached critical mass where enough people are there to finally do something.

Don Lemon and Ron Burgundy...

Someone failed their lit crit class.

All so the bride can look at and distribute the pics online later crowing about how all her girls looked so great and they RULED the bar/club/Applebee’s they descended on and looked like a combo sorority/streetgang.

WRT the younger folks I know getting married: just stop it with all the cutesy bullshit:

One wedding I went to I actually got pretty angry over the registry. The couple had been living together for more than two years, and owned a house together. The registry was composed almost entirely of super expensive luxury items, including multiple $600 sheet sets so they could have all the colors because they felt

I’m in a pissy mood because I just got an email about this bachelorette party I’m going to in 2 weeks instructing all of us on what color dresses we are allowed to wear. Blue on night one, black on night two. I already bought my dresses a few weeks ago, and luckily they will work, but what the fuck? How about we just

Preach! And with every event a mandatory tithing! Registries made sense when people weren’t living on their own/ with their spouse before the wedding, but these days? Everyone I know getting married has lived with their significant other for years. They have apartments full of crap, why do you need a crystal punch
