I have consistently called out such bullshit!
Don't tell people on Gawker. ;) They prefer to assume it's a cesspool around here.
Without government intervention, you'd have bridges randomly collapsing, human fingers in your meat products, rampant child labor, cars that randomly explode if you rear end someone, and Uber drivers raping passengers. (Oh wait...)
No, no you got that right! Sucks doesn't it?
I hate to be the Debbie down here, but I know a Member of Congress who is considered one of the most liberal Members and...
I was in the same room with her once. I also thought she was a little too wholesome for my tastes, but she was absolutely awesome and stunning in person.
She's certainly an underrated actress. I loved her on Girlfriends. I was always hoping she'd branch out a bit more into movie roles.
First of all, I should apologize to you because I was overly snarky last night, and I feel like I jumped down your throat. I didn't mean to.
I think you're making some good points here, and I'm not completely disagreeing with you.
Except none of that is exclusive to a sorority. You could have had an identical experience without all of that.
Not really nope. All the week, the defenders of sororities have listed the "perks" of it, primarily philanthropy, but they've yet to post one that isn't exclusive to being in a sorority. Why go through all that shit and pay for the pleasure when you can build your resume up a billion different other ways?
Story time.
And so help me God if ANYONE uses the words "charity" or "philanthropy" in this answer, I'm going to SCREAM! You know damn well that's not the reason why you join!
I understand forgiveness to include canceling a debt or liability to another person. That's why I don't do it. I just stop caring (for good or bad) and move on. But I cannot give absolution to some people.
If abortion is "murder," then why should there be any exceptions at all?
Why do we have to forgive in the first place? I'm certainly not advocating holding onto anger and bitterness. I'm saying why does there have to be any forgiving at all. Why can't you just...not feel anything and move on?
She was the only redeeming character in that show, but after awhile Marcy wasn't enough to get me to keep watching.
When I found out he got married, I was a bit tipsy and blurted out, "His new wife must really hate sex then." That's the only way that's going to work.
