We have had extended conversations here at the A.V. Club about when the average consumer should accept that they are beyond the time frame for spoilage. That issue has hardly been satisfied to the point that you can claim authoritatively that such a point has passed for Casino Royale.

I *loved* this movie when I first saw it (on my 17th birthday, think I mentioned that before). I loved it for the action, the slavish, almost pornographic depiction of technology, and the surface themes about class warfare and criminals vs lawmakers and the blurring lines between them.

I watched Strangelove and thought it was pretty not funny, although I appreciated it deeply for many other reasons. It is a classic.
