I guess they thought we needed to see that rape in full.

Not a good sign for Pitch renewal. His character was the one who grew on me the most over the course of the short season.
Oooh. Thanks. I missed that.
Great episode. But chock full of terrible things.
Yay for Happy Valley! Fingers crossed Sarah Lancashire wins the BAFTA for Best Actress as well.
I agree with the review but the grade's too high. I really *wanted* this movie to be better, because that trailer was awesome and the cast is charming. But the commenter talking about "sophomoric Tarantino-aping" below nailed it. It's like a knock-off of a knock-off of a memory of a cool movie.
This show makes you want party night at the brothel to be a success.
Upvoted for Lolly Lorry.
Lots of cosier English dramas are about nice, pretty, upper class people, though? Especially the period dramas. eg. I watched about half of Downton Abbey. And all of the Upstairs Downstairs reboot. And I'm pretty sure there's an aristocratic love interest in both Grantchester and Peaky Blinders, even though those…
What's with the pace? We're racing through plot. Maybe it's because of the shorter season order.
No one likes a braggart, Hastings.
Dark episode. But I really like the show and I hope it gets renewed. I love some of the language and turns of phrase. And I enjoy both Margaret's friendship with the dark-haired, low-rent madam, and her relationship with William. Taboo was more gorgeous to look at, but this is by far the better show.
I think the trailer that I saw for this film tried to avoid using subtitles, which meant it avoided dialogue, so that it was simply a series of beautiful, stylised visuals from 1930s Korea. It made The Handmaiden look like a really beautiful, really tedious arthouse movie in which barely anything happens.
Dear sweet christ, that was easily the most cringe-inducing episode since the impromptu pole-dance on the party bus. I didn't know where to look half the time. The addition of a Trent plot made for double the cringe. Cringe everywhere you turn. I was dying.
Yes, I was referring to her tweets! Twitter is where Nussbaum gave the impression that she liked the show in spite of its flaws, around the end of March. Actually, one of the tweets I found intriguing was -
"I just wanna chill on the lawn like the Obama's dog/Bo, Bo, Bo, Bo, Bo, Bo" cracked me up.
There’s so much to unpack here—passing, white feminism, classism, code switching, assimilation.
Christopher Meloni didn’t utter a single word this episode
"This is a decent cunny-house" is an amazing line.
Great episode. I got more out of this episode than I get out of lots of movies I see at the cinema.
