I’m so sick of his schlub ass getting hot women in movies.

It’s interesting that we have two totally different interpretations of their relationship; while you describe them as stable, I saw two complacent people who might have been held back by each other. Anyway, there’s no denying that they were compatible in a lot of ways.
That was a squirmy laugh for me at the bit where he denied having the dog. Dude, you’d rather I believed it’s your turd I’m cleaning up? And then the dog barks and it’s just this sticky web of lies!
The deep passion I have for Sarunas Jackson makes me so confused when folks hate on him. He’s top 3 for me, if not number one.
Y’all mean :(
I have mine set up, but to heck with anyone who leaves me a voicemail because I will legit not listen to that shit (though I may look at the transcription if it makes sense).
I know folks were all like bring Lawrence back...but I ONLY wanted him back for Chad. Seeing him try to act like his woman leaving him didn’t bother him was fantastic. LOL
I’m using the “I don’t know what you just said but you know who does? God.” the next time someone mutters something in their language at me. Any Spanish speakers who can translate for the rest of us?
“I don’t know what you just said but you know who does? God.”
“My boyfriend and I were talking about what our baby might look like. He’s albino, so there’s a wide range of outcomes.”
“He must really like you cause I would’ve thrown that jacket away and chalked it up to God.”
“The point is, you are single. You are very…
I think I liked the episode a bit more than Ashley did, and I disagree with a few things in the review.
Nice episode. Kelli is hilarious for sure, need more of her and the other married Boujee friend , Amanda seales
I’m perhaps a bit late (having just gotten into the show this week somehow, but I’m loving it), but it was cool to see Ahmal actually interacting with his partner even if for a short moment. Was wondering when we’d get to see a little bit more of him living his life ever since they introduced him.
“I hate to be that guy, but in a post-Moonlight america, don’t you think we should incorporate a rainbow?”
“Oh, so now y’all wanna be woke, when a bitch been an alarm clock since day one? Well, beep beep motherfuckers! Beep! Beeeeeep!”
“Hey whats up girl? Did I leave some ketchup packets at your house? I did?” Such a…
One of the biggest criticism of Issa [the character] was how terrible of a friend she is; Kelli whipped her into shape, and I think Issa was trying to actually be a friend to Daniel AND she simultaneously is putting herself first [I.e. leaving her shitty, racist job].
It is so funny how folks have such different reactions to characters. I see Daniel as a generally good person with normal human flaws, but not “bad” or “creepy” by any means. I also feel like Issa is definitely the more “trash” person in that relationship, and not just for being a freeloader. I feel like he is kind of…
It gets even more confusing when we remember their past and that there’s still attraction between them. It doesn’t seem like her motivations are clear to her, either.
I like what they’re doing with Daniel. I suddenly see how Daniel and Issa are a lot alike- but how he stays quiet to deal with his awkwardness and Issa babbles to deal with hers. Daniel seems like he did well for himself but then got stuck. Issa is in that same place. I think it could be good for them if they find a…
I don’t know. Daniel is letting her stay at his place rent free. When she was trying to support him that night (instead of calking the bathroom), I saw it more as paying him back and showing that she was a friend to him.
Again, Issa is focused on supporting the dreams and egos of the men in her life rather than her own.
I couldn’t find an organic way to mention it in the review, but yeah, it’s bullshit that this movie is rated R. If you’re 13, you should be able to go see a thoughtful film about something close to your life, even if it has a few curse words in it—and even if you probably *won’t*.
