The AV Club
That was cute. Some of it was charming and funny, some of it was dumb and fell flat. It did take some odd turns and I'm not sure how you get a full season of television out of it. But it's got me for now.
Oh c'mon, did you watch? The quiet thing is a joke. The real reason he's a bad match for the heroine is because they're too alike.
The way Jayde said "I see his Snapchat sometimes, and he looks… he looks busy" was great. Her telling whats-his-face that they were all finished when they hadn't taken a bite was a criminal offence in my book, though.
Crikey. My biggest nitpick was that every woman knows how to remove her bra without removing her clothes!
The premise here is that Hayley Atwell's character is some kind of embarrassing screw-up to her ambitious politician mom. The single time she gets tears in her eyes in the pilot is when Mom gives her a speech all, "Imagine what you could do if you ever worked at anything".
That fuckin ukelele should be the first to burn.
Lol! I had no idea that hat size was a factor in the casting process.
I wasn't expecting this show to get weekly reviews here.
Oh I love your speculation.
This is network tv all over. It reminds me of silly adventure shows I watched growing up. To be frank, I think it's the worst pilot I've watched this fall. But it was still cute and I wouldn't be averse to seeing some more.
At what point in the trailer did you roll your eyes? For me it was 12 seconds in.
I liked it. I love the idea of it. Teddy and Dolores are fucking tragic characters. I was willing them to access their memories and wake up, to figure it out somehow. But then, would that really be better if there's nothing they can do about it?
I wish it was a better show! This is basically Madam Secretary, only with Kiefer in place of Tea Leoni. Aaron Sorkin's material has often made me roll my eyes, but I can't help thinking this would be vastly superior if he was writing it, as it's a neat concept with enormous potential for a political drama. Ah well.…
I thought of Han Solo.
No worries! Great minds etc. ;)
Can Justin return to piss off Alfred some more? That was wonderful.
I love you, Justin!
I KNOW, BITCH.
Sounds great so far!
That is a really good perfume ad.
