All three CBS pilots were winners in the ratings. I guess this is why CBS doesn't care about diversity. Their strategy is Smug White Male and it wins.

It's too bad I watched the trailer when you previewed this show ten days ago, because they put almost every story beat from the pilot into the trailer.
I really enjoyed this. I was looking forward to watching some glossy bullshit about beautiful people before bed, and goddamn, did this pilot fit the bill.
My bad!
Why does she need a Navy Intelligence career? Magnum was just some guy who wore tiny shorts and bright shirts while driving a flash car around a tropical island. I don't think he had even regular intelligence.
Enjoyable pilot. Seems like a perfect fit for Fox. The case-of-the-week is dumb, but then it's just something to hang the big action setpieces and banter exchanges on. And that bank robbery was fun!
That's fair. Adan Canto is a looker, no question. Now get back to me when that's the norm for actors on the show the way it clearly is for actresses.
Good premise, fun pilot. That teaser worked a treat; it was like the beginning of a movie. And Kiefer's costuming was really important, wasn't it? Not just the glasses but the grey sweatshirt, jeans, and sneakers in which he looked at once totally ordinary and out of place. I also loved the speed at which he was sworn…
I can't believe the glasses got an entire paragraph without one mention of the ridiculous number of times President Keifer dramatically took them off during this episode. Designated drinking game, right there.
Yeah, actually this is a lot like the pilot for Madam Secretary.
Lol @ a dud IUD! I too would blame the terrorists. ;)
Surely that doesn't surprise you? Those shows look dire, so I would expect them to get panned here. And they also look like the kind of thing that gets multiple seasons on CBS.
Has that same sort of emotion managing drug compressed feeling to it.
It's fine, he gets a new one every month, to make sure they aint trackin him.
I was going to try all the drama pilots, but you have to draw the line somewhere.
That pilot was much better than I expected. Yes, it was corny and overwritten; there were too many heartfelt speeches; and every character's dialogue sounded like it was written by the same person. But it worked. It was moving, entertaining, and even occasionally amusing.
She lives. You're good to watch!
Right? Sounds perfect for the demo. What stands out as a problem for this reviewer is likely a selling point for the network.
I thought they were the names of various knitting stitches.
