I'm curious to know how this (and CBS's other new throwback shows) will perform.

Friday Night Lights is the closest comparison I can think of. In that case, the show was about a small town, high school football team and the community around them. And it was a wonderful show.

Good call. I found it unwatchable.

At Dawn is gorgeous, man.

Focus on Ginny, but do stories about a number of key players on her team, so we understand what's driving them. I don't know anything about baseball, but I assume the show would follow the team for the season.

They just showed me the whole pilot in that trailer, didn't they?

I prefer early nineties era Bale of Swing Kids and Little Women.

I like the look of this. I haven't watched an old-fashioned sweeping, romantic, historical drama for aaaages.

They should put Cage's line in the trailer.

I really liked Rory's adultery plotline. It was surprising at the time but in retrospect it made perfect sense, which is the best kind of story surprise.

Isn't it a throwback to the yuppie nightmare movies that used to be pretty common? Money brings trouble.

Nicely written review.

I like the sound of this.

All Quiet on the Western Front.

She sounds like an absolute delight.

When sexy Pippa inherits enough money to allow her to move to the city and start a sexy new life at a legal firm, little does she suspect that her inheritance is tied to a childhood secret and a dark sexy crime. This Fall on ABC!

That was CBS. Where Nancy Drew was found to skew too female.

Idk, there's always a chance we'll meet somebody to foot the bill.

It all looks very beautiful and tasteful and inoffensive. Like an expensive perfume commercial.

This is wonderful! Thor meets The Office.
