It’s a lovely end to a great season, where positivity has reigned supreme and hard work has been rewarded.

“I’ve been silenced! And I’d like to thank the academy for this award....”
Again a reminder that “Cancel Culture”, much like Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster, isn’t real.
Glad to hear the view from someone with some expertise.
Fun fact: When Miyazaki announced Princess Mononoke in 1997, he opened the press conference by calling it, “My latest, and last, film.”
He’s made five other movies since then. And at some point during production he called each of those his last work. The dude cannot help himself.
Stargirl is also excellent. You’d think they would cover Doom Patrol because it is simply so bonkers, in addition to being great. Plus it’s on HBO now. They love HBO!
They do cover a lot of DC TV but man Doom Patrol is a show that they really should cover. Along with Stargirl (in a different way) it’s my favorite two Superhero shows the past 2 years.
Cloak and Dagger is very under-rated. I really liked what they were trying to do.
I agree. I was expecting some watered down YA crap because it was on Freeform but then the first episode gave us an attempted rape and crushed pill snorting.
I agree. And, I liked season 2 of Cloak & Dagger better than the first. Season 1 spent too long getting the titular pair together.
No Bill Bixby Incredible Hulk!!!!? THIS WHOLE LIST IS INVALID!!!!
Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk is still one of the best villains in all superhero TV (and beats many in the cinema): with Killgrave and Cottonmouth in close second and third. The problem with DD and the other “street level” MCU Netflix shows was that they dragged on and on, with brief moments of excitement. Some…
I prefer DC shows and wish AV Club would review Doom Patrol which I’m sure is better than any marvel show ever and in general is in the top 5-10% of all TV shows in 2021.
Someone has got to step up for Cloak & Dagger. It has some truly powerful character work and deserves a lot more credit.
Agent Deserved A Higher Ranking
Boy, this list gives a lot of credit to the Disney+ series, which I’ve found to be hit or miss at best (WandaVision), and downright pretty bad at worst (Loki, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier).
I like Patton Oswalt but M.O.D.O.K felt like an overlong Robot Chicken sketch, and RC is something that's funny in small doses.
I will shill for Agent Carter everytime its mentioned and this no exception. Its an infuriating hidden gem that deserved frankly the attention Agents of Shield got. I’d gladly sacrifice half this list for more Peggy. Fuck the assholes who canceled it, on a cliffhanger at that. What is this bloody Carnivale again?
MODOK ABOVE PUNISHER ARE YOU HIGH
I haven’t seen all of those, but I can say that Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Daredevil are not better than Legion.
