I feel a mashup coming on. Mustang Sally.
I feel a mashup coming on. Mustang Sally.
I agree, but imagine pitching the idea to a room full of people that didn’t see the movie.
The front fender on most motorcycles isn’t supposed to protect the wheel. It usually extends down to protect the fork sliders from getting pitted; which this one also fails at doing.
HD does seem to be on a product / design roll, but I continue to be amazed by the number of people who hate HD because... they’re HD. So very odd. Seems that when someone is trying to dig themselves out of a hole, my first reaction is to try and help them, not push the dirt back on top of them.
I’ll be straight up honest.... I’ve said many times on Jalopnik that HD should just go away. It was putting out antiquated, expensive, and frankly boring products under the hope that the HD image would be all you’d ever need to make billions. On top of that, the brand attracts some of the worst of the motorcycle…
I’m writing it now, hopefully this week.
Cliff’s notes: It’s good.
Hopefully Ford doesn’t go woke...its not working for Disney.
...Hopefully Ford doesn’t go woke...its not working for Disney. Industry forgets labor intensive jobs want trucks, not someone who needs to load his toy poodle for a walk in the park.
Orlove’d.
That’s a lot of ‘former’s up there...
Its wheels, not rims
Well to be honest, the while history is written by the winners kind of applies here. In many cases shitty things historical people have or may have done tend to get more or less glossed over, depending on what they did of course. Like the bad shit Hitler did is not something that will be forgotten to time.
It is important to talk about the flaws of historic figures. I just have a really hard time separating Henry Ford the industrialist from Henry Ford the unrepentant piece of shit. He self-published an anti-Semitic and savagely racist weekly newspaper and demanded that his dealerships give copies to their customers.…
I was on a plane to Vegas that must have been half filled with people heading to the show. Half of those folks didn’t fit the description above, but it sounded like a lot of them worked for the OEMs, or support organizations that dealt with stuff like financial software. The other half could be pretty accurately…
Moral of the story.......... Don’t fuck with the Russians!
Ukraine isn’t just farmland. They have plenty of well educated people that want engineering and logistics positions. They also have millions of people who are refugees. This might be a bit of a vanity project, but it can also be a beacon to people that there are good jobs for them to come back to.
That is what I have never understood. Unless the plane was down for very heavy maintenance, it’s not like they had no warning. One turbofan out? I am sure that empty it could have taken off on the other 5.
I in the airfreight industry. I read in some industry paper a few years ago that the market could easily accommodate 10-12 AN225s.
It would have been easier to retire the AN-225 in favor of the second fuselage when it wasn’t burned to the ground.
