The big problem with this statement is that these mental institutions exist in theory and not in reality for far too much of America. The rooms are very limited and the focus is to get people slightly stable and out so they can take in someone that is completely out of control.

The liberty to drive 150mph on a residential street?  Is that what you are willing to fight for?

What is the erosion of liberty that you are concerned with? 

It’s really impressive. It’s hard to drive 70 mph for 20 miles around SE Michigan most of the time.

Sounds to me like this mom was afraid of her own child. She did things to placate him and avoid violence, much like an abusive spouse.

As a fellow lib, there’s nothing that makes me feel more “owned” than a complete stranger destroying his own property in a fit of pique over some bunch of strangers trying to make sure some other bunch of strangers are being treated fairly.

I agree with the sentiment that this is rage/clickbait. I would believe that particular bike wasn’t in running condition. This is just a dipshit looking for alt-right clout and a free new bike. 

How’s he going to react when he finds out gunpowder was invented by the Chinese? Does that make his guns ‘woke’? Is he going to have to drown them? (I’d suggest blowing them up but I’m pretty sure the proto-hominids who discovered fire would not have been considered ‘white’.)

As a former member of the DoD Acquisition Corp, this is angering and inexcusable. One of the reasons I retired was that I was often surrounded by cohorts who couldn’t reason their way out of a wet paper bag. Guess they got jobs at NASA.
