I wouldn’t use the word victim here - these people bear responsibility for their actions - but people can commit crimes, and still be products of their economic and social conditions. Here’s a cool trick: you can be angry at and empathize with a person or group of people at the exact same time.

I would probably just not take my family to these types of events.

The crosstrek must be forgettable in that Jalopnik reviewed it twice and already forgot what it looks like.

Lots of psychopaths with homicidal fantasies in the grays today. Property destruction = death sentence. Yet I have a strange feeling that most of them think that January 6th was a peaceful protest.

Sigh. This is the kind of shit that’s really ruining car culture for the rest of us.

That’s not a riot, that’s a failure of civic institution (or a success of systematic disenfranchisement I suppose.) I would argue riots have ostensible political causes or goals. This is what it looks like when communities and their constituent families don’t have time or money to raise kids, nor institutions to

Hell of an ad for this business though:

Second through 20th not a good idea either.

Nobody accidentally says that word so effortlessly without it being part of their regular vocabulary.

Fix it now so it doesn’t need to be fixed later. Probably the way to go.

No one launches a new model like Ford, Quality is Jerb 7639.

The first rule of Unlicensed Drivers Club is you don’t talk about Unlicensed Drivers Club.

It’s remarkable how backwards-thinking people were in our country back then and even more remarkable how many people remain with such backwards-thinking today (and not just about women in motorsports, either).

I feel like this is an example with regard to mental fitness in terms of daily activities. When you think about a driving training and subsequent licensing test, none of them deal with problem solving as a necessary skill.

100% this. I have never seen someone be able to show a screenshot of a GPS unit telling them to drive down a boat ramp, these people are just idiots who are trying to pass off some of the blame for their pure idiocy on to tech.

Having been directed to stupid spots by GPS I am always skeptical and check the route.

When you’re twenty you don’t necessarily notice the ignorance and stupidity of your peers (and yourself.) When you’re forty it is abundantly clear just how stupid twenty year olds are.

I doubt that the GPS steered her into the water. Generally the GPS shows you have arrived at your destination when you reached the parking lot. It’s not going to tell you where to go inside the parking lot.

My buddy with twin 12-year old boys recently introduced them and his 16 year old daughter to The Office, watching the entire series over a few months. He said his boys have begun responding to nearly every comment with “That’s what she said”. Good to see 12 years old’s have not changed a bit since I was one 30+ years

its terrifying to know that people like this are on the road, driving. that’s why parents always said “look out for the other guy” when I'd drive away... no matter how good of a driver you are, nothing will protect your from a bad driver.
