Fun to see it running. The logistics of getting all the old refill stations handled via water trucks and such would be interesting to see broken out. Is it an accompanying support team, or built out at company locations to match historic use?

This gets me all tingly inside. Steam locomotives are fascinating machines that have captured my imagination since childhood.

It’s the combination of sheer mass, speed, momentum, and the fact that it’s pure mechanical 19th century technology that makes steam trains goddamn impressive.

Being from Schenectady NY(not something I would normally be proud of) I am especially chuffed to see another Alco running on the rails. Especially one that came out of the Schenectady works (RIP).

I’m no train guy (rail head?).... but this is damned magnificent to behold.

Though it doesn’t seem to be widely in the news, the picture of where he ultimately got pulled over just makes the whole story.

But at least the PSI was the same on all wheels.

I do love the narrative of someone being annoyed and combative when pulled over for doing something obviously dangerous.  Bonus points if they said "I'm sorry, I thought this was America"

This is additional proof that running your BMW with super low PSI (technically the lowest possible) doesn’t magically cause it to crash.
