C’mon Jason, there have been videos of trombonin’ scooters floating around for years. Here’s one I saw in 2015:

That’s the new 928. You can tell because it looks just like a 911.

The reality here is that hybrids “should be” the wave of the next 20 years... with huge improvements yet to come.

Oddly, the taxi and bus fleets (as here in LA) actually DID the math and found that the numbers make a lot of sense for natural gas. CNG is broadly adopted for fleets and is helping air quality a lot in the Southland.

I’m going to hope that his experience, skills, and mind let him carry the baton from Damon Keith, a pivotal black attorney and judge, who recently passed

Ugh yes. The Volt. Preach it.

You’re not thinking of the transition. First off, Li-ion batteries are EXPENSIVE. They are the reason currently BEV cars are far more expensive than their ICE counterparts. Also, charging infrastructure simply does not exist to allow a person to safely drive anywhere they want any time they want. So no matter what

Not interested in even trying until they fix the interior.

Cellulosic fuel would be excellent, but my memory just remembers ads about using corn so I don’t even remember the ‘false promise’ although I don’t doubt that it all probably started with that.

This was never a good idea in the first place. You shouldn’t use food to make fuel

Exactly, maybe we should look into a balanced approach where people who live in dense cities and don’t need to dive far distances convert to batteries first then as tech gets better more rural people make the switch.  These articles that pit electric against ICE are misguided junk trying to get people mad about an

Here we are arguing about this, when personal vehicles only account for 15% of emissions. (A little more than half of the “Transportation” sector for people ready to hit reply and cite that more comprehensive statistic)

I think I made a comment on the Miami story the other day that summed this up: Under Bernie there were 2 ways to get an F1 race: spend hundreds of millions of dollars to bring an F1 race to your nice venue where people actually want to go, or be a horrible dictator with a history of suppressing human rights.

It happened to Grosjean in Malasyia in ‘17. The team successfully sued the venue for almost a million dollars in damages.

Too few egotistical dictators

Where is your god now?

If the holes taper out again on the back side of the spacer, even better!

Even if the holes are the same diameter, the flat plate would kill the air flow compared to a tapered spacer.

*Reads an article specifically referencing restrictors*

Laminar vs turbulent air in the intake runners makes a massive difference. Even if the orifice is the same size, the flow will be much higher through the tapered spacer.
