But seriously what other brands are gonna provide such cheap, accessible horsepower in a car that also easily seats 3 of your friends (4 if they’re small enough) who also like doing stupid things? Neither of the wrecked Chargers in the photo appear to have police/municipal plates on them, so yeah the cop car was probably undercover, and not simply “unmarked”.

If they’re telling the truth, they’ll release the bodycam footage within the week. Otherwise, yeah, they’re almost definitely lying about something.

Because Detroit PD would rather put their cameras on storefronts and street corners and use them to misidentify robbery suspects...

The skepticism is highly warranted, but I could see this happening since the unmarked cop car also appeared to be a Dodge Charger. ALL of the cars at these illegal “sideshow” events are Chargers or Challengers. Racing and hooning Chargers in Detroit is so common it’s reached meme status.

Forget powering them, how are you going to build them in the first place, at least at the required scale?
