I hope they don’t stop with sports sedans entirely when they start making EVs. I’ll never meet an EV that I think is “fun” (yes, even with insane 0-60 times, they’re nothing more than quick kitchen appliances to me), but if they can at least give them great driving dynamics and feedback like the V’s, I wouldn’t mind

What’s so confusing about Fax machines, phonebooths, and Yellow Pages? Their purposes are easy enough to understand.

I’d be fine if they did something like limit new cars with ICE’s to having no more than 2 doors, and/or limited to a certain production volume/year.

You do mean “Fidelity”, not “Fidlity” right? Not trying to be pedantic, just tying to make sure there isn’t another investment app I’m unaware of.

With the way the interiors of new cars are designed, I’d gladly also take the gauge cluster of this and install it in a new car in place of the stretched iPad behind the steering wheel...

I don’t think it’ll have that exact design, but given How Teslas get progressively uglier with each model introduced, I’m not expecting it to be less polarizing either.

To be fair, car companies in general have been making the user experience worse for quite some time now.

How would Silicon Valley make money if they weren’t changing things just for the sake of changing them?

That’s the only way this makes sense. But then why bother making a “Plaid” version with outrageous 0-60 times if you don’t even want people to drive it?

Not when changing lanes, or navigating any turn that’s appreciably less than 90 degrees.

I’ll believe it when the C9 or C10 Corvette is EV only.

Is there a legitimate reason why anyone would want to do this in a car instead of at home, in a more comfortable position with a larger screen? I guess if you’re parked at a Supercharger with nothing else to do this’ll pass the time, but I’d much rather stretch my legs if I’ve already been in a car long enough that it

The Model S already comes with an “overheat” daemon. Just use “Ludicrous Mode” for more than a few seconds...

The Bolt is a tall hatchback, and a competent EV to boot. It’s pretty much what I’d want in an EV, aside from being so expensive for what’s basically an electric Honda Fit. I’ll never meet an EV that I think is “fun”, so I’d rather get a less expensive one that doesn’t waste money on gimmicks and outrageous 0-60

Well, we knew this would come eventually...

The industry in general is moving to worse interiors (they’re ALL adopting the iPad-superglued-to-an-empty-dashboard look). But if people want to pay hyper-luxury prices for cheap interiors, they’ll keep doing it.

The Model S is the only good-looking car Tesla’s ever made, and every model has gotten progressively uglier (well, ok, maybe not totally progressively, since the Model Y looks slightly less inbred than the Model 3 (sorry!)). Given how all their recent designers (both interior and exterior) are either talentless, lazy,

Given how Tesla’s have gotten progressively uglier since this car was first released, are you sure you want them to redesign this?

You should give yourself a bit more credit. You’ve clearly put more effort into designing this interior than anyone at Tesla has.

Sort of agree. The Model S is definitely one of the best-looking cars you can buy today, and is pretty much the only EV that is a good-looking car in general, not just good looking *for an EV*.
