So they took all of the downforce out pretty much exclusively through reducing ground effects? So the wings will have an even larger impact than they already do? If you thought the “dirty air” problem in F1 was already terrible, just wait...

I can’t believe I even fell for the original claim of 331 mph. Rather than being skeptical of how the car was still accelerating relatively rapidly once it crossed 300 mph, I was impressed it was still pulling that hard.
Hey, if I could find a 12-room house for only $300k, I’d definitely buy it even if I was the only occupant.
He also knows he can easily get re-hired in a nearby town, if his union doesn’t force the department to reinstate him there first...
They’re not bothering to hide it because they know they can get the same job in the next town over.
Plus if they’d started R&D 40 years ago, maybe we’d have a true renewable fuel source for ICE vehicles. As it stands, the only options available (or close to available) for stopping climate change are uninteresting technologies that have all the character and coolness of drying paint...
Also don’t forget that the university named after him was one of the last schools in the country to desegregate, and it banned “miscegenation” until 2000...
The drivetrains may be simpler, but there’s a pretty big difference between a high-voltage, high power density traction motor vs. the motor that spins the cooling fan in a laptop. There’s also the matter of structural engineering with the chassis and suspension. If Sony were to do this, they’d still need a ton of…
Honestly I think the Bolt is one of the best-looking EVs you can buy today (that’s not a half-assed “compliance appliance” made out of a normal car).
EVs are usually much heavier than other cars of similar size, so they actually probably do more damage to the road surface.
Well it still has wheels off of a Kia from the ‘90s...
You forgot “Synergy!”
Yeah at this point, if there aren’t any cars that interest me (and the engine is the most interesting part of any car for me - not just the noise, but actually the technical details), then there’s no point in even spending money on a car.
Which is even more reason why naming the Crosstang the “Mach E” was a stupid idea to begin with.
It’s an EV, so it’ll be fast (at least up until 6o mph), but they’ll make sure it’s so laden with useless gimmicks to pander to tech zombies that it’ll be a chore to drive, in spite of its supposed “simplicity”. It’ll also be ugly and horribly proportioned with an unoriginal, uninspired interior where everything…
That’s pretty much how I feel. Obviously stopping (or at this point, simply slowing down) climate change is important, but I wish all the solutions weren’t so soul-crushingly boring.
I’m probably the furthest thing from an EV fan...
Except there are no good MAGAts.
Imagine living in places that actually had “lockdowns”...
I remember this exact thing happened a while ago as well. Three 16-year-olds and a 48-year-old all teamed up to race a GT car in the Rolex 24. This happened back when I was actually a bit younger than those drivers though (I’m almost 30 now).
