Replying to add: it would still be an absolute travesty if he got out of prison before becoming a senior citizen.

He’s only eligible for parole in 15 years. He wasn’t sentenced to only 15 years...

I guess even the people that set up fake ballot drop boxes have standards...

The people that are actually convinced flying cars will work clearly don’t understand physics (or general reality) on even a basic level, so they’ll believe it’s aerodynamic if you just say it is.

Also, it takes much, MUCH more energy to fly something than to propel it along the ground, which makes electric “flying cars” pretty useless at the sizes needed. If these were ever going to be a “thing”, someone would’ve just stuck an electric motor and batteries in an existing helicopter and made a profitable “air

Even better, put a giant blower on it that pokes through the hood so you can have a Tesla with an onboard supercharger.

Depending on the cooling they put in, they might’ve actually made a trackable Model S with this though, since all the “real” ones literally can’t take the heat if you even look at the accelerator too long (not counting the upcoming “Plaid” version of course).

With credit for time served...

Not to mention the Model 3 looks like your user name...

He seemed to be referring specifically to the CES presentation of this whole service, rather than the quality of the van itself, as in the presentation didn’t really highlight the van much.

Not to mention if we had widespread, convenient public transportation running on renewable energy, we might not need to ban gas cars to make a significant impact. Then again, even nations with great public transportation nationwide still have high car ownership.

Your user name is oddly appropriate for the discussion at hand.

GM appears to be trying to copy Silicon Valley industry culture, but seems to be only taking the worst parts of it.

And he probably would’ve won had he done the bare minimum with handling Covid (which would be just staying out of the way of the professionals).

Too bad the 3 and Taycan are hideous, and the S shits itself when you try to have fun in it for more than a few seconds (maybe the Plaid will change that last one...

For me, the Taycan also doesn’t fit Requirement 3. It looks like an inbred version of the Panamera, which was already ugly because apparently Porsche can’t design sedans (or I guess “saloons” where you’re from). The Hummer EV seems to be the closest thing to an “ideal” EV for me, except I don’t like driving gigantic

Neutral:

My thoughts exactly, ESPECIALLY because everyone seems to want to make up for the lack of “greasy bits” with overcomplicating the hell out of literally every other aspect of their EVs. Cameras in place of (not just complimenting) mirrors, power doors AND door handles, etc. are all just additional failure points to

Sure, EVs won’t need oil changes and such, but are they really going to be that less maintenance-heavy? Most of the stuff that ages and goes bad on my ‘01 Taurus is definitely not driveline related (of course it’s so old I’m not taking it to a dealer for a repair anyway)...

Checking in from Michigan, and I also cosign these messages.
