Coming from the military, this isn't remotely abrasive. "Brisk", perhaps. "Underestimating" might suffice in this particular instance. At any rate, my initial intent was not to be abrasive myself, merely to indicate how very old sensationalistic headlines are.

Sensationalism and jingoism is what sells newspapers—well, in this case, ad space.

I wish I could see it through the lens flare.

It'd be awesome if Facebook did games the way Google+ does — segregates regular users from the game fiends so I don't get fifty game requests an hour from friends, family, my dog, and that guy that sat behind me in fifth grade math.

I agree. I'd play the game constantly expecting to round a corner and catch a glimpse of a silhouette at the end of a hallway, or walk into a bedroom just in time to hear the closet door ease closed.

Really? I've been hearing about electricity storage for years. There were actually people with self-sufficiency power setups out west that were selling extra power to the local power company. California, it might have been.

The thing with that, though, is that you can bottle all that extra power up and use it later.

Sounds like someone's pocketing the money instead of investing it where it needs to go.

Same here. Wind countries are complaining about having more electricity than they can use. That seems like a great complaint to me. Unfortunately as long as oil companies run the government here we'll never get the subsidies for clean energy we need.

Since I have a Reddit account, do I even need to visit Gawker sites anymore? Is reposting Reddit shit a thing now?

It's also an original story out of continuity and you are reaching for something to bitch about.

Actually now I understand what you were talking about in your original comment, so I apologize for talking shit. Yeah, it makes more sense to say that the gunman was motivated by rejection. Video games have nothing to do with it. Did Hitler or Pol Pot play video games? I'm pretty sure they didn't.

That's an awesome Elphaba. I'm looking forward to this one.

Are these commenters getting dumber and dumber, or what?

I didn't say I couldn't read Austen. Reading and enjoying are two different animals.

Okay, the public is aware of it. Now what the hell do you want us to do about it?

I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be any Snooki hate if she weren't plastered on every screen and page in a 50-mile radius of a pair of human eyes. Out of sight, out of mind.

What on earth does RDR have to do with the Elder Scrolls? I've played and beaten both, and the only similarity I see is that the main characters both ride a horse. The hell?

I'm sorry, the joke was totally staring me right in the face.

Perhaps by investigating the cultures and people that did this, we can hope to better understand the Republicans of today.
