Not true, it doesn't need to be plugged in to work. They've updated CarPlay to allow wireless connection. But of course you don't have to use it.

The fact is that Google has the money and human resources to do literally anything they want. A Google car could be successful, but only if its something people actually can relate to on some level, and not a overcute dorkmobile that only someone living on a Palo Alto tech campus could love.

I just don't see why the guy is held in such high regard. Find clean German design, copy/paste, now he's a genius? But then I'm not a fan of Apple and their products in general. It's what people buy when they buy into hype and don't comparison shop (in my mind at least.)
