No. I had a 1999 Boxster, and it was the worst car that I have ever owned. Considering this 911 already had engine and transmission work, I don’t think it will last much longer. I bought my 99 Boxster for $7,000 (60,000 miles and had a crack on the front bumper hidden by the front plate thankfully).

Well yeah I know the weight and that it has 5 floors, but it seems that most of those floors is just room for the rope and hydraulics underneath. How large is that counterbalance ball? I think some of that siding might be windows so maybe it’s 2 or 3 stories tall, with the others being the ropes.

Any idea how large something like that is? It’s hard to judge the size of that thing from the video.

Jell-O and Jesus

Almost all phishing emails get redirected to a spam folder. So if someone actively goes into their spam folder and opens up emails in there, then they’re a idiot and that is exactly who this virus is trying to get to.

Thank God I’m gay then.

Phishing emails are stupidly easy to notice. And if anything, they’re always sent to the spam folder. I’ve had the same email address for everything for 5 years and have not once seen a phishing email.

So unless I’m doing something that has hackers putting usb dongles into my computer or connected to an ethernet cord (literally who does that anymore?) I should be fine? Yeah virus’ are scary but it’s only possible under circumstances that go beyond what normal Mac users do with their computers.

I love Slack, I really do. The company I work for was existing off of post-it notes scattered everywhere. Which doesn’t help when you have two offices that aren’t connected. Now someone has to drive back and forth all the time to drop those post-its off. (I work in aviation so my mechanics seldom answer their phones

“It Just Works” is a great mantra and a great idea to strive too. But we can’t deny the fact that these issues can and will happen to anybody. When an OS is created to cater to hundreds of millions of people to handle hundreds of millions of scenarios and processes, issues will happen. Microsoft has been in the OS

You don’t seem the understand that crashes/programming errors and all that are an issue that will never go away. Any device in the world running code can and will crash. It’s just the nature of programming. Granted applications can crash gracefully and not force something like this to happen, but it’s a crash

Yeah typically iOS is pretty good at killing apps that have been running for too long. But if too many apps are opened at one time and none of them have hit their time limit, Springboard could begin to crumple under that weight.

You must not really understand coding or programming. Crashing is an impossible to avoid event. No matter what happens, there is no way that any developer/company/whatever can make a device that never crashes. They can “crash gracefully” but even that is still a crash. :)

Restoring iOS 8 may help, but it depends on where the problem lies. If the glitchy code lies within the CoreOS and does not change, then that glitchy code is part of the OS and does not change even if you restore iOS 8. If the glitchy code pops up due to some sort of interaction with specific applications, then

Possibly so. iOS 9’s Springboard compared to iOS 8’s Springboard shouldn’t have much if any differences. But it could definitely be that the glitchy code in iOS 8 just isn’t present in iOS 9 and, therefore, does not cause a crash.

Oh it’s still a problem, it’s something that an operating system should definitely not do if it’s a gold master release. However, it’s not as big an issue as people are making it seem. People have been claiming it is wiping data, it’s ruining their battery life, etc.

From how it’s acting it appears to be that the Springboard is resetting itself. Think of your Springboard like Windows Explorer on a PC. Springboard is the system that displays apps and stuff like that, Windows Explorer is the system that displays Windows apps and the toolbar at the bottom.

Some info for people confused about why Reddit is taking this as a big deal:

Okay cool. With a company with more money than some small countries, i’m sure they’ll be fine. :)
