Yeah, who would have thought that Columbia University students would be smart enough (Columbia is like the #15 University in the US) to use the most effective tool they have easily available. Especially Columbia students who grew up with constant drills for school shooters/invaders and how best to deal with those

Even worse, every student has the same books, bought at the same bookstore. It’s like a cult.

“Deadspin should stick to sports.” That’s what you sound like. Like motherfucking Spanfeller and Maidment.

I disagree. My favorite Jnik articles point out transportation-related silliness, like university admin idiots selling bike chains to students and then accusing them of not being students because they have student bike chains. It’s a good fit. The rest of the article provides accurate direct to the point context.

Those locks are super common in NYC because almost nothing else allows you to keep your bike.  When I moved there I was stunned to see that lock on bikes that were worth less than the lock.

Of topic, but topical

One of the best bike locks made, being used by students in city where if you turn around your bike gets stollen. Definitely ‘suspicious.’

“Suspicious” of what?

The fact that it’s currently the most popular post on the site would beg to differ.

That is a little suspicious.

Well I mean suspicious that a bunch of students are buying a 225 dollar chain lock for 85 dollars.

Probably the most wild thing to me in Project 2025 is that the right wing goon squad wants to pump more oil and gas because LIB TEARS.

Disagree. The point of the credits is to retool the industry as well as sell cars. You need both. Hyundai, Honda, and other EV makers are scrambling to build plants in the US for battery production. Mines in the US are being opened. Even domestics like Ford and GM are having to reconsider and move their EV and battery

Oh, I definitely understand the nuances. I just find it interesting how quickly the messaging went from:

Economically, population decline is terrible. Most economies now believe that sustained and constant growth must occur.

Put the blame where it belongs. It is not “climate change” per se that’s ruining the globe. It’s “population bomb explosion aftereffect climate change” that has us boned—put the blame here. Every person born, more so in developed countries, causes that much carbon emissions to spew into the atmosphere—every day for as

I’ve stopped wanting to buy a new Persona game when it comes out and will now instead wait for the ‘complete’ version to be released. I’ve got plenty in my backlog to keep me busy.

making Atlus’s move to sell a nearly 20-year old expansion an abjectly gross one.

I feel like Japanese gamers have a much higher threshold for how much they’re willing to spend on a single game, which is why the price of buying all of the content for a Japanese game often looks absurd to a western audience. Not every Japanese game studio does this, but when you look at gacha gaming, costume packs

It could have been worse. They could have resold it at full price in Persona 3 Reload - FES and not stuck it on Game Pass. At least there is some way for people who already bought it to get it without rebuying.
